"Food is great! It flavorful and fresh. I have tried multiple Vietname restaurants in Austin, so far this is the best when it comes to authentic taste.
Decided to add ribs to the order was the best decision! Soooo good!
Very good price for the amount of food we got."
"I've been craving the Grilled Pork and Eggroll Vermicelli Bowl since I last ordered it. It was just as delicious the second time, I actually had to place a second order because I shared with family. "Food was hardly seasoned, the only flavor came from the sauce and it was so sugary and sweet I couldn't even finish the dish.
Portions are extremely small for the price, the veggie egg roll is literally a mini freezer version and was over $2.
Didn't taste fresh either, my rice tasted like it was reheated from days ago.
Wouldn't order from this place at all, definitely skip"

"Amazing portions, cooked perfectly, and incredible flavor. Maybe the best fish dish I've ever ordered - really fresh and it sits on top of a bunch of zucchini strips so I love that I can sneak in some veggies too. The fried dumplings are also some of my favorite in town - great to add to any order!"
"I have frequented Sichuan River many times and have always found it very tasty. This time I got beef with broccoli and it was not very favorable and broccoli was overcooked and mushy. I will say the portion size was quite large and can easily be shared by 2 diners. I will not order this or anything with broccoli that can be easily overcooked."

Maos Braised Pork
Mao's Braised Pork (also known as Shaoshan Red Braised Pork) is a classic and highly representative dish of Hunan cuisine. Traditionally made with high-quality pork belly featuring an even ratio of fat and lean meat, its defining characteristic is that no soy sauce is used. Instead, the rich, glossy red color is achieved entirely through caramelizing sugar (tangse), combined with slow-braising alongside dried chili peppers, star anise, cinnamon, and other aromatics. The resulting dish boasts a vibrant red glaze, a tender and melt-in-your-mouth texture, and a rich, savory-sweet flavor profile with a subtle kick of spice. It is deeply aromatic, non-greasy, and stands as one of the ultimate comfort foods to pair with steamed white rice.
$21.99
Scallion Pancake(Vegan)
Sliced Beef and Ox Tongue in Chili Sauce (Fu Qi Fei Pian) is a world-renowned cold appetizer in Sichuan cuisine. Originally created in Chengdu during the 1930s by a husband-and-wife team, the name literally translates to Husband and Wife Lung Slices (though lung is rarely used today). Instead, it features a delicate medley of thinly sliced beef shank, ox tongue, and tripe. The meats are slow-braised with traditional spices, chilled, sliced paper-thin, and drenched in a vibrant, complex chili oil sauce topped with toasted peanuts and sesame seeds.
$6.99
Sliced Beef & Ox Tongue In Chili Sauce(Spicy)
Sweet Crispy-Skinned Duck (also known as Leshan Sweet Duck) is a renowned and beloved traditional specialty originating from Leshan, Sichuan province. Tender, meaty ducks are first cooked in a master spiced broth until flavorful, then deep-fried at high heat until the skin achieves a shatteringly crisp texture. The defining final touch is a generous brushing of a specialty sugar syrup, typically made from maltose or rock sugar. The finished duck features a gorgeous, deep mahogany skin that is delightfully crunchy and sweet, perfectly balancing the savory, spiced meat underneath. Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and offering an irresistible sweet-and-savory flavor profile, it is a uniquely addictive Sichuan classic.
$18.98
Sweet Crispy-Skinned Duck
Pan-Fried Dumplings (Jian Jiao / Potstickers) are an eternal classic of Chinese comfort food, beloved for their irresistible contrast of textures. The secret to a phenomenal pan-fried dumpling lies in the technique: dumplings with savory meat and vegetable fillings are arranged in a skillet, pan-fried until the bottoms turn golden and crisp, then steam-cooked with a splash of starch slurry to create a delicate, lacy crust (known as binghua or wings). Each bite delivers a satisfying crunch followed by a tender wrapper and a burst of juicy, flavorful filling.

"I would take a picture of the Funny Tray (Appetizer Sampler For 1) But i am almost finished it. It's really good and enough starter for one! My fried rice looked and tasted amazing. Highly recommend. "
"We just started eating again at China Dynasty and forgot how good it is. Can't beat the prices of the meals and the large quantity of food - all delicious. My favorite right now is the Chicken and Shrimp Mushrooms which I also add mix vegetables to it. Always have enough left over for another meal. Give it a try! Delicious! "

"I have been ordering twice a week for a month now for lunch and I can't get enough! The Beef Chow Mein 牛肉炒面 and the Chicken And Scallion Steam Dumplings 鸡肉香葱蒸饺 are my regular order and they're so good well worth the money! I have leftovers every time and the quality the next time I eat them is just as good as the first day I ordered them! The consistency across all of my orders as well like I have YET to have a bad experience! and I can't mention how great the portion sizes are to the prices like omg I love them. It's been so hard finding a good dumpling place and they have surpassed my expectations in every possible way! give it a try and you won't regret it I promise you!"
" Braised Beef Noodle Soup 红烧牛肉面 had good portions of beef and noodles, but very little bok choy. It could benefit from more veggies to balance out the meat and pasta. The flavor was truly amazing, and the beef was tender."

"Always huge servings so you have left overs. I easily get dinner then lunch and dinner for the next day ordering a fried rice and main dish. We have been going here since the week it first opened and still find new stuff to try. So unassuming but so authentic as well - food is not Americanized like some places (that's just bland) and a family run business."
"Their Hot & Sour Soup (Large) / 酸辣汤 (大) has gotten delicious. It's been years since I have eaten at Fat Dragon and I will be returning sooner. The Red Bean Bun (2 pcs) / 红豆包 were crispy and flaky.

"The food was pretty yummy, my favorite was the Lomein with chicken and shrimp. The Fried Rice in my opinion was just a little bland, perhaps next time I will order the spicy varient, I bet that would be tasty. The Shrimp Spring Rolls were good! While this isn't the very best Chinese I have had in Austin, the value is great and the portion sizes are generous! It's certainly worth a try! "

"Best Chinese resturant in my opinion. They use devained big shrimp for their Shrimp Fried Rice and its extremly good and they make sure your Crab Puffs don't get soggy by poking holes in the top of the container. "

"Everything tonight was spectacular. The Dumplings (all of them) Shanghai Soup Dumplings (6) , Steamed Dumpling Trio (6) and the BBQ Pork Buns (2) were mouth watering. The Happy Family ( D ) did not disappoint. The chicken, shrimp and beef were well cooked with great flavor. I'll definitely be ordering from here again. "
"Pork Dumplings were good
Egg Drop Soup was very small...half size from other restaurants. Tasted strongly of bacon fat..which was unpleasantHot & Sour Soup was ok
