"The shredded chicken and green beans is phenomenal. The pork dumplings are the best in the city as is their sauce.
One of the best parts of Mala Tang is the very generous portions as well, so you get your money's worth.
Easily the best Chinese place around."
"The Fried Rice with Chicken, Beef, or Shrimp (shrimp) and the Zhong's Pork Dumplings were both awesome. Lots of garlic and a little heat on the dumplings and TONS of shrimp in the rice. Highly recommend!"

"Comb Lo Mein was super good, got mild spice and I thought it was perfect, good amount of protein as well. fresh cucumber ang garlic sauce was amazing, nice, refreshing and super garlicy! Then the Dumplings Sichuan was sooooo good 10/10 recommend and the sauce is super nice! Delivery was 30 mins away and everything still came super hot, I was impressed."
"Our favorite place to order from in the neighborhood. The mu shu chicken is so flavorful and they always provide lots of little sauces and oils to add to the pancakes. We also love the pan fried dumplings and the steamed potstickers. Kids go crazy for it all."

"Best Chinese I have had in this area in a long time!! Hot and Sour Soup / 酸辣汤 had wonderful flavor and nice amount of spice. The Spicy Garlic Sauce / 鱼香系列 was delicious and portion size was great. Will definitely be my new go-to for Chinese."
"I don't often write reviews but this place deserves it. It is easily the best Chinese food in the area. It's not even comparable. This place isn't "a bit better" than whatever the runner up is, it blows the competition out of the water! The only complaint I could muster is that the soup dumplings tend to stick and break by the time they're delivered in DoorDash, but that's not the restaurants fault just the sad reality of delivery.
Portions are very generous and my wife makes two meals out of what she orders. I usually cannot control myself so I finish everything (lol) but it would be enough to split into two. Everything I've had is well and strongly seasoned which is a big deal given the competition (very weak flavors).
To sum it up, fantastic food and I HIGHLY recommend you give them a shot. I lived where I do for years and had given up on finding decent Chinese food, randomly gave this place a shot and fell in love."

"This is my first time having the garlic vermicelli scallops, and it's absolutely spectacular. I've had the skewers many times, they're always very consistent with the quality and taste. For the amount that they give you it's very good for the price. If I wasn't moving, I would order here every day! Very fresh and very delicious high-quality food."

"Absolutely delicious! We like other Peter Chang-owned restaurants and this one is great, too! The Homestyle Stir-Fried Pork Belly was amazing - tender, beautifully spiced and a generous portion. The Salt and Pepper Shrimp were addictive - well seasoned (but not spicy at all) and cooked perfectly. They'd make a great appetizer shared among several people. They were so delicious that my 11 year old stole some even though she's usually quite picky. She also really enjoyed her Combo Lo Mein. The Sweet and Sour Chicken Slices were also great. Very flavorful with a perfect balance of sweetness. The Dry-Fried Eggplant was very tasty - crispy even though it had to travel here from the restaurant and well seasoned. The only slight let down was the golden mountain Golden Mountain Beef. We've had the Golden Mountain Chicken at other PC restaurants and it works better as chicken. The texture of some, but not all, of the pieces of the beef was stringy and a little dry. Over all it was a wonderful meal and we will order again!"
"I don’t usually write food reviews, but I have to say I was disappointed. The spicy eggplant wasn’t actually spicy and was overly oily. The shredded beef with peppers had far more peppers than beef, which threw off the balance of the dish. Overall, both dishes lacked flavor. I also found the portion sizes to be quite small compared to what I typically get at Chinese restaurants for a similar price."

"First time trying ChiliWok & loved everything! Best chicken Chow Fun 干炒河粉 we've ever had. Super moist chicken. Eggplant with Spicy Garlic Sauce 鱼香茄子 was generous portion, very flavorful. Cold Sesame Noodles 芝麻凉面 are pretty perfect comfort food."
"Dan Dan noodles were mushy and the dish was dry.
The scallion appetizer was flavorful but overly greasy. I patted the pieces between paper towels to remove excess oil & they were delicious.
The gf chicken only had two small pieces of limp broccoli and the white meat was cubed oddly.
Overall, the food was just not great. If I stay here again I would try somewhere else."

There were a lot of choices that I kind of made at random - but the Tom Yum soup was deeeelicious, and so was the Nah Mor specialty sauce. The Udon noodles slowly soaked up the soup. So good!! "the Lamb Dumplings (8) / 孜然羊肉水饺 are AMAZING!! I highly recommend!
The Lanzhou Beef Noodle Soup / 兰州牛肉面(清汤) was alright, the broth was very zingy but not very flavorful beyond that. It was a bit one noted if that makes sense.

"FYI delivery prices ARE MARKED UP compared to pick up. The D2. Steamed Chive & Pork Dumplings / 韭菜猪肉水餃 were really tasty. Very floral. Could've used more sauce but good. The N4. Sichuan Beef Noodles Soup / 川味牛肉面 was bland. Very vinegar heavy but otherwise bland and no flavor and no spice. They added pickled cabbage which took over the entire dish. Good portion but would not order again. The R1 Minced Pork Over Rice with Fried Egg/ 卤肉饭 was also very bland but not bad. The cabbage they added had a nice flavor. They didn't provide utensils even tho it was requested."

"First- as someone with allergies- I love the notes section and they always follow directions/requests!!!!
Sweet & Sour Chicken a staple for me and there's is always on point w/ a bowl of sauce so you never worry about running out! Side of rice is always full but wish they also offered white rice as side order option when sharing. Egg Drop Soup is also a favorite, delicious in general but if I'm not feeling well it's also the soup I go to. Today also tried Wonton Soup which was also good, kinda like steamed dumplings in soup but could do with a little more of the filling.
Food is always well packaged to prevent spilling or smushing & keeping warm during delivery. Always tastes hot & fresh! - would like more than 1 fortune cookie though :)
Highly recommend."
" This food is so good to me. I do not like the fried chicken. I would not recommend it. It's kind of nasty that the skin or something is weird like it's just weird, but the portion is really good. The portions of the rice the lo mein is chefs kiss I think that it's a really good place. It's better than a lot of places I had. The rice is good. The shrimp is good. The chicken is good. It's very fresh and I'm definitely gonna order it again. It's so so so so fresh and I like the fact that they listen to the directions when I order stuff I often don't like vegetables or whatever I think it's important doing this time to really support small businesses. It is expensive to order on DoorDash. That's the one thing I do not like, but I do appreciate the food being extremely fresh. I really do."

"The broccoli was so good and the Pork & Shrimp Wonton Soup (8) was also SO GOOD. The wontons were delicious and soft. The broth that comes with the soup is very light and flavorful I think it'd be great for someone who's sick."
"Ordered the BBQ Steamed BBQ Pork Buns (3) and they were so tasty! Great texture for the bun and the filling was flavorful and generous. They were definitely made fresh. Yummy overall! Will purchase again next time I'm in the area. The employees who helped me were kind"

"Everything was good. At first, I was concerned that the roast pork was actually duck because of the bones inside the meat, but it was pork rather than duck. The Steamed Meat Dumplings, the Steamed Shrimp Dumplings, and the Shu Mai were all good, too. Well Done, Mark's Duck House and Door Dash. Thanks for staying open on Christmas Day. Happy Holidays to everybody at Door Dash! "
"TheSautéed Steak Chunk with Black Pepper Sauce didn't have sauce, just a coating of pepper and other spices. The dish was superb - very tender and full of flavor. The Orange Duck (1/2) was also delicious - the sauce came separately so the duck stayed crisp. The beef Short Rib with Black Pepper appetizer was juicy and surprisingly tender. We got a huge container of nice steamed rice. All were good portions. The soy Soy Sauce Chicken is always excellent, as are the pork buns.
We will definitely be ordering again. We are so happy they are now available to us in DC."

"The pork soup dumplings were delightful and delicious as always. Decided to try something new with the combination fried rice....it was decent but the amount of practically raw white onion in the dish was overwhelming. I picked out what seemed like the equivalent of half a large sized onion worth of slivers. "
"Watered down , chewy and tough. For $20, the portion size is very alarming! Looked like an appetizer, and mind you it is a la carte, no rice. Just BAD!!! When I brought it to the servers attention, he pretended to barely speak English offering a apology among a mix of other unrecognizable sounds. I will not be back to this place. If you are looking for good pork belly got to Firepan. This place is closer to me but a terrible joke and waste of money. "

"Awesome dumplings! The Chicken Shiitake Dumplings / 香菇鸡肉饺 were flavorful and delicious. The Pork Wonton Soup / 鲜肉小馄饨汤 (6)was simple but tasty and hit the spot on a cold night. And the Braised Beef Noodle Soup / 红烧牛肉面was a unique take on a classic noodle soup. The braising gave the beef a rich flavor and texture that added to the dish. Overall, awesome new dumpling spot. "

"Amazing flavor on the skewers, 2. Beef/ 牛肉串/ 소고기 꼬치 3 Skewers and 1. Chicken/ 鸡肉串/ 닭꼬치 3 Skewers .
Heck yes!"
"The skewers taste fine, but they are absolutely tiny and a little dry. The photo shows 2 orders and they are still barely bigger than a credit card. Crazy to pay $10 for an order of 3 when they are this small. It's like they took one proper skewer and split it in thirds. Sad."

"I tried the Sichuan Beef Noodle soup and that was delicious but really spicy... I then tried the Beef Breast and Mushroom in Gold Soup (金汤肥牛米粉) and this has become my go to lunch for weeks now I cannot get tired of it, seriously the best soup I've ever had!!! If you're a big soup person like myself (and you can handle spicy) this is a MUST TRY!!!"

"The beef and broccoli is my favorite. Since my favorite Chinese food place closed, I haven't been able to find a place that has it anywhere near as good as my old favorite. This place has it incredibly close. The sauce is great, the beef is tender, and the broccoli is perfect. Not too crispy, not too soft. I can actually eat a whole entre of it when I order, it's amazing."
"Reviewing th B4. Beef with Broccoli（芥蓝牛） SU2. Wonton Soup（云吞汤） N1. Braised Beef Noodle Soup（红烧牛腩面）. The beef and broccoli was on the sweeter side. Decent portion. The wonton soup tasted fine. It came with 3 wontons. The braised beef noodle soup was packaged well. The noodles were separate from the broth. But broth was ALL broth. There was maybe 4 pieces of small meat- 3 of which were tendon and one piece of actual beef meat (like 1/2 inch by 1/2 inch square). I DO NOT RECOMMEND. It was a complete waste of money:"

"Umm umm good. This was my ce first time having Taiwan Rice Noodle and it was so delicious. Absolutely scrumptious. The spice level was perfect and evenly distributed throughout the entire dish. The noodles were fresh as well as the chicken, beef and shrimp. I added soy sauce very sparingly to ensure it was nicely salted but not too salty. The sauce infused on the dish was very minimal yet the dish was still full of flavor. I don't know how that's accomplished but i'm now a fan of Taiwan Rice Noodle and i'll be back. ~ signed A. "Delightfully yummy. Both items I ordered Chicken Wonton Soup and Ma Po's Bean Curd were wholesome. The prices are reasonable for the amount of food. The Chicken Wonton Soup has four dumplings that are pretty large and a bunch of broth. I was a little sick so made me feel better. I didnt like the fritters that go with it though they were kinda stale but I also ordered pretty late. The Ma Po's Bean Curd was so good. I usually crave ma po tofu but wanted something less heavy and this was that it had so many veggies and the tofu was soft and the bean curd sauce was really nice actually spicy. Overall I was really happy with it. Will definitely get the tofu again. "

"The wantan soup was rich in flavor and delicious. Steamed dumplings were bigger than expected and were good. The chicken fried rice was bland and needed something extra to make it more flavorful. Overall it was good. I'd order again, just get something other than the fried rice."
