"This was a very good sized portion of very good food. I ordered the ackee and salt fish breakfast plate that also came with 2 pieces of yams, some plantains and a boiled banana and dumpling. Ackee cooked very well with great flavors. Additionally I ordered saltfish fritters. They were tasty and big enough for a meal/ snack on there own. Lastly I ordered 2 more fried dumplings. This meal will last into lunch for me as well. I plan to order again, enjoy!"
"These oxtails were absolutely perfect!
Tender, fall off the bone morsels of deliciousness!
I wasn't sure how large the portions were so I ordered a medium. I have enough left over for lunch tomorrow! I can't wait. "

"Ate it too fast to take pictures, but... the Oxtail fell off the bone just like it should, and the rice and peas were delicious. It was a massive portion of food, too. Well worth the price.
The Macaroni & cheese wasn't creamy the way I prefer it, but it was cheesy and flavorful. All around -- very good, very filling."
"10/10 for the Rasta Pasta (Shrimp & Jerk Chicken) , and the Chicken Soup. Both were extremely flavorful, chicken was juicy, and proportions were amazing. Tried this place on a whim, and would order again!"

"Very good. I thought the large would of been a little bigger than it was but other than that the food is great. Just enough seasoning and the dumplings are good tasting and good for the dipping in the gravy."
"I ordered fried saltfish and asked in the special instructions if I could substitute provisions and boiled dumplings for rice and beans. Someone from the restaurant called to let me know that was fine but they were a little low on saltfsh and would I be ok if they mixed it with callaloo and I said yes. Well I will be asking for that again and referring this restaurant. Food was PERFECTION. Food is fresh, well prepared, flavorful (not salty, FLAVORFUL) portions are well worth the price, and the customer care is top rate. Thank you Ma'am"

"ordered the fried chicken, it was pretty decent. only thing I didn't like is the fact they only gave one piece of meat when usually as a Jamaican, when you buy a small food, it's usually 3 piece a meat that's served.. otherwise from that, the chicken was seasoned well."

"Wow!!! This was one of my favorite delivery meals I've ever had. I had the vegan collards, the beans and rice, the yellow plantains, and the tomato stew. Everything was on point, with incredibly deep and delicious flavor. I can't recommend Voilà Afrique more highly."
"The food was decent, though a little salty. I ordered fufu and egusi both times(once with beef and once with salmon) and both were okay.
The portion was fairly generous this time, but my first order was smaller for the same price. The packaging was also better this time, so I’m not sure whether they’ve improved their takeout orders or whether my first experience was just an off day.
One positive is that the food arrived hot and still steaming both times, which was impressive considering I ordered from 20–30 minutes away. However, both orders were late despite being scheduled in advance. Between the delays and the inconsistent portions, I don’t think I’ll order again."

"The Sheppards pie was VERY salty. Since it was the lunch portion placed in a regular sized entree container, it didn't gave the same effect of a Sheppards pie presentation (both lawyers thin and salty). The Louisiana chicken serving was far from half for lunch price. Try 1/3 chicken portion and the pasta wasn't flavorful (dry). For the first time I didn't like the entrees. This was the first time having either of these and was very disappointed!!!"

"Food lacks flavor, false advertising on menu... Alcapurrias de Yuca / Cassava Alcapurrias are not by anymeans an alcapurria. Sad that they would even call this Puertorican food. Good thing it's a small portion. Pernil may have been the best thing out of the order and the Maduros / Fried Sweet Plantains far from being ripe and cooked through. "I was under the weather, and figured Sopa de Pollo / Chicken Soup was the right move. I looked around and figured I'd try Costambar since it was close and relatively quick. I have genuinely never had a better chicken soup in my life. I don't even like yucca, and this worked incredibly well with it. Honestly, better than most sancocho I've had. it was flavorful and the consistency of sancocho, but with its own direction and a few noodles."
"Be prepared to get more starch than meat with the lunch portions...for example, I got the Chicharon de Pollo / Fried Chicken and there's more chicharon on a scarecrow than the serving...BUT it was DELICIOUS. The yuca needed a little more moisture-just a bit dry. Mangu 3 Golpe EXCELLENT. Platanos perfect-not greasy-not burned-just right, but cold. I blame the driver for that not the restaurant. My girlfriend and I got the Whiting Dinner and the Fried Chicken Dinner, both seasoned and fried to perfection. The mac & cheese was incredible. The collard greens brought me right back home.
And the banana pudding? Worth the order by itself. I'd drive across town just for that.
This is food made with real heart and soul. Customers for life. ❤️"
"On Friday, January 2, while searching for a local soul food fix, DoorDash introduced me to Jackson and Goodwin Soul Food. I read the glowing reviews, placed my order—and immediately wished I had gone in person. That feeling deepened the moment Simone offered me a sample of the duck. One bite in and I knew without question: next time, I’m ordering the duck.
From the warm, genuine welcome by owners Simone and Robert to the spontaneous dessert tastings, this was hospitality at its finest. They should be selling customer service lessons too. I promptly expanded my order to include coconut cake, a large Uptown, and turkey soup. Everything was made with fresh ingredients and love and the order was ready before DoorDash’s quoted time.
And then there were the little details the kind that tell you a place truly cares. The packaging was thoughtful and warm, right down to the Dum Dum lollipop tucked inside. That small, playful touch felt like a wink from the kitchen and perfectly captured the spirit of Jackson and Goodwin: generous
The Food:
Fried Chicken (dark meat): Expertly seasoned, crisp, and not greasy, comfort done right.
Mac & Cheese: Lusciously cheesy and deeply satisfying.
Potato Salad: Perfectly moist with just the right balance of seasoning and mayo.
Sweet Potatoes & Collard Greens (with turkey): Fresh and soulful
Turkey Soup: Even better the next day pure comfort in a bowl.
Jackson and Goodwin isn’t just serving plates they’re preserving food tradition, generosity, and joy.

"Empanada de Carne / Beef Patty could've been a little more stuffed for the price... other than that everything that has to do with the flavor, it was good. I'd give this a solid 8 out of 10. for the Nachos Pesados I feel like the nachos should be sent in a separate container, by the time you get your food the nachos are very soggy and not as pleasant other than that, the flavor was good and portion was good too, a solid 8.5 out of 10"

"The food is very good. But $20 for Pechuga a La Plancha / Grilled Chicken Breast is too much. It comes with one thin piece of grilled chicken breast and a ton of rice. Again, tastes very good, but for the price, there should at least be two pieces of chicken. "
"Noches de Colombia used to be such a better value. We used to order from here often around several years ago+ and the quality, amount of food, and the prices were exceptional.
Just ordered today what we've always ordered in the past and it was MUCH more expensive than it used to be. Also, ordered a singular empanada for $3.00 and the thing was tiny and 80% dough.. yeah, I've had much better empanadas for way cheaper.
Overall, we will not be ordering from Noches de Colombia again, unfortunately. We used to love this place and have ordered from here fairly often in the past. But now the prices are no longer reasonable, nor is the quality as good overall as it was.
It's not worth $100+ for a simple meal that used to be such a great deal just a few years back. Sorry, but things like this are why we barely order out/go out for food anymore.
Hey, maybe all of this a blessing in disguise; i.e. if you're dissatisfied enough, you end up cooking more fresh food yourself, for a fraction of the price.
Therefore, you end up spending less and eating healthier, overall.
This kind of stuff is annoying, but probably for the best for the people general.."

"I tried the Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken and it was AMAZING!! Super tasty and creamy, the chicken had a great flavor as well and I loved that it was cut into thin stripes instead of big bulky chunks of chicken. I love pasta and I find that most places that serve fettucine alfredo make it very dry or too bland, but this one was just perfect. It was my first time ordering from here and I will definitely be ordering again!"
