"Simple, old-school Chinese fare that's so good & satisfying. The BBQ meats are juicy and pair nicely with the other flavourful dishes. My top recommendation is the BBQ Pork Fried Rice 叉燒炒飯, as it's a classic done really well; perfectly seasoned, and I especially love the pieces of thinly sliced gai lan. And don't sleep on the Cantonese Daily Soup 例湯! Since it's a daily special, the exact type of soup will be a surprise, but I swear it's always delicious; often containing tender stewed meat, various Chinese veggies, and other classic ingredients like peanuts, the broth makes for an excellent light yet comforting side to sip while enjoying a meat & carb heavy meal."

Roasted Pork & BBQ Duck Rice 燒肉燒鴨飯 was somewhat disappointed. BBQ duck meat was a little on the dry side and the skin didn't taste that great, maybe it was a bit over roasted.
Roasted Pork & Chicken Rice 燒肉油雞飯 was okay. We had better! Nobody liked the BBQ pork and BBQ ducks this round. Lots of bones not a lot of duck meat.
Chef’s Special Chicken on Rice 貴妃走地雞飯 was fine.

"I ordered the "small" versions of the 65. Lemon Chicken / 西柠煎软鸡 and 103. Sauteed Green Beans with Spicy Minced Meat. They were way smaller than I thought. Like appetizer size – especially the lemon chicken. One portion. I assumed for $18, the small size option must be what they call regular, while the other option for $24 must be for 2 people or a family. Nope. Kinda bummed cuz I was hoping to have leftovers so that my $70+ order could last a couple of meals. I could have spent $6 more and gotten enough chicken to make it worth it. (They should clarify what the order selection sizes mean since it's not a common option for entrées!) That aside, the food was fresh, quality, and delicious. It was super super tasty, and I have pretty high standards when it comes to food. I will definitely order again and hopefully get the ordering straight next time."

"My go to orders are the pork soimai and the wonton soup and let me tell you its one of the best one in town. The soup is small but the wontons are packed with meat and it's juicy!. The soimai is a good size and has a good flavour. They listen to instructions very well and are very nice, I also love their cold tea not too sweet and its huge cup. "The Stir Fried Seafood & Vegetables were excellent. A generous serving of nicely stir-fried broccoli, other veggies, and a variety of white-meat seafoods. They were all tender and succulent. The white rice was just the dish to complement the seafood, and it also was nicely prepared."
"It's just great food with fresh ingredients & tasty! Everytime we get food from here it's always with the freshest ingredients.. you can taste that their prawns are really fresh and they always have fresh vegetables with no wilted ones in any of their dishes. For example, a lot of places make Yeung Chow Rice with a simple frozen mix of peas & carrots or something, but Cafe Gloucester uses fresh chopped vegetables in theirs. Their curry dishes are delicious with a nice thick savoury slightly sweet and very mildly spiced curry (and they all come with plain white rice to go ontop of). Their pastas are also good, although they're not usually our go-to here, we've tried a few of them and they're tasty as well (although they do have some corn and carrots in their bacon mushroom penne which was surprising for us, but it didn't bother us or ruin the dish at all). Definitely a great place to try, the portion sizes are suitable for the price but it's just the tasty food with fresh ingredients that keeps us coming back."
