Very disappointing as El Jannah is usually excellent. First time order was from the Malvern Road store instead of Swanston Street store - maybe this was the reason for the poor experience. A friend recently tried El Jannah and I was shocked when they told me how terrible it was, but now wondering if they purchased from this same location. The Calamari ring, crumbed Prawn & Scallop were all good - very pleasantly surprised by the freshness & plumpness of the Scallop (they can be a bit dodgy so I am always wary).
The Potato Cake was HOT - a bit oily but not greasy, so quite yummy. Crunchy batter & being cooked in fresh oil certainly made it tasty.
