"I really wanted to like this place, but the food just didn’t hit the mark for me. I ordered the Butter Chicken, Chicken Korma, and a couple of Mango Lassis. The Mango Lassis were excellent, easily the highlight of the order. Unfortunately, the meals themselves were disappointing. The chicken didn’t taste very good and came in thin strips instead of the usual chunks you’d expect in dishes like these. I eat a lot of Indian cuisine, and this was definitely off from the standard. The flavors were also pretty bland and lacked the spices and richness that normally make these dishes so good. I’m glad the Lassis were great, but overall the entrees just didn’t deliver the quality or flavor I was hoping for."

"I order from Maharani about twice a month. The portions are enough for two meals for me as I am in a nursing home. Most of the time the Chicken Tikka Masala lunch, naan and samosa I order is wonderful, great flavor, just the right amount of spice, fluffy naan and crisp samosa. Today I was very disappointed. First, I did not get the naan that comes with the Lunch specials nor the additional one I ordered. I was given a very greasy parata instead. It was also quite chewy. As for the Lunch specials, the sauce on the Tikka masala was not as thick and creamy as usual. The chunks of chicken obviously had not been cooked in the tandoori as there were no dark marks or puncture marks from the skewers. The chicken was tough and in such large chunks that I had to cut with a sharp knife. I initially was excited to see that the side salad contained aloo. That ended when I took a bite they were not even cooked and hard. I am upset that I might have to change restaurants for Indian food."

They have every rice type, even gluten free.The Ghee and Biryani are the best!The mutton needs a little more wet ir sauce even though its a dry meat entree, but it's still very good. "The curries are super good and flavorful. Almost all have the same flavor? The bread is not the traditional naan at your authentic Indian spot. It's not easy to pull apart, you have to cut it or the layer of this "bread" falls apart. It has a soft texture but looks soggy. Would prefer rice next time with the curries. Wanted something new to try but more of a place to go in to eat I assume.
