"The Pollo ala Brasa (Roasted Chicken) is seabed very well! I love how they put the order in separate containers."
"This was a horrible dish. The Chuletas Guisadas were bland, old, it was dry chuletas in a bunch of sauce. The rice was old and the beans had no flavor. I am shocked because this wasn't the way they cooked. The macaroni salad was without flavor. Just disappointing."

"I have been to DR 3x and I want to cry this restaurant has topped it. Deserves 8 stars out of 5stars. So delicious and perfect. Portion size is perfect, price is perfect. Pork Chop so soft and juicy and flavorful. Bananas are great, not so sweet like other places. Empanadas so full of flavor and crunchy. Rice and beans were sooo good. And of course my INCA cola. Everything was perfect! "
"The 18. Steak Sandwich / Sándwich de Bistec was a tiny piece of beef the size of a chicken tender on 1/3 of the length of bread. The rest was just a wilted lettuce and tomato sandwich. It was also squashed to about 1 inch thickness or less which I don't think was the driver because the bag it came in was intact. I probably will not be ordering from there again."

"While the Chaufa Mixto could've used just a bit more seasoning, both it and the Tallarin Saltado tasted excellent. One word of caution: the portion sizes are absolutely enormous; each dish could easily feed two people with a bit left over. Also, they don't skimp on the protein. A lot of places are stingy with the shrimp, but the Tallarin was loaded with it.
This was my first time ordering from El Sabor Peruano, but it won't be my last."

"I was under the weather, and figured Sopa de Pollo / Chicken Soup was the right move. I looked around and figured I'd try Costambar since it was close and relatively quick. I have genuinely never had a better chicken soup in my life. I don't even like yucca, and this worked incredibly well with it. Honestly, better than most sancocho I've had. it was flavorful and the consistency of sancocho, but with its own direction and a few noodles."
"I paid $16 for a sancocho it was good but the container you guys give it in i barely get any soup because if the meat , the bones, the potatoes etc. basically it was $16 wasted for barely any soup. When i threw it in the plate it was barely anything but meat and vegetables. This is not worth $16 st all $21 with service fee smh"

"AMAZING! The chicken was cooked perfectly and had great flavor, the pasta was DELICIOUS and wasn't overcooked and soggy. The francese sauce was flavorful and thick, not watery like most other places..

"This was one of the best seafood boils I've ever had! The crab, shrimp, corn, and potatoes were delicious. I chose the seasoned garlic butter and I'd order it again! I added 2 hard boiled eggs for protein and they were delicious. The lobster bisque was a nice portion and had a little kick to it. I will definitely order again!"
"Unfortunately a big bust. I was craving the Boil in JC and sadly since they closed, thought I'd try a new place. I got the large catch with headless shrimp, corn, potatoes, a lobster tail, and Dungeness crab. After a little delivery snafoo where it was left inside my neighbor's home. I finally got to sit down and open it up. I was quickly pretty sad.
In general, everything was overcooked especially the corn and the potatoes. The corn mushy and the potatoes also mushy and not "snappy". The crab itself was good, sweet but the sauce was very watery? Idk why and lacking garlic or Cajun flavor. The shrimp also overcooked. I had to clean the lobster tail myself (see photo) which if anybody knows the black tube down the back is the poop shoot and if you just say "eff it" and eat it, it's sandy and gritty.
For the $130 price point, I would have higher expectations for quality, cleanliness, and flavor and this place was just not it."
