The Beef Dumplings In Broth (Pelmeni) were fire, the Beef & Beet Soup (Ukrainian Borsch) was hearty and meatier than I expected. The Baked Meat Pie (Somsa) was a particular favorite, meat perfectly seasoned and the pastry crispy and perfect. Potatoe Mushroom Dumplings (Perogies) hit the spot also, larger than I thought they'd be. Kampot - Fresh Juice was nice, though a bit pricy. Would order it all again, no hesitation."

"Finally, no misses, just hits! The Beef Suya was well seasoned and the portion size was generous. The 2 Suya combo (Beef and Chicken) was a great value, although some of the chicken was a bit burnt rather than nicely charred. "This was me and my husbands first go at soul food and we were Not disappointed. Service was friendly, the decor was simple but lovely, and the food is delicious. I got a Cajun Butter Burger and Mema's Spaghetti. The burger was good and fries were nice and thick, and thr spaghetti took me straight back to dinner at my grandmothers house. Seriously a memory on a plate. My husband got the Smothered Pork Chops (delicious - the yams were SO SWEET, and the gravy was amazing. big pork chunks, just watch out for the occasional bone), and Famous Cajun Pasta (with blackened chicken - *THE CHICKEN*").
We also got a little bit of Cornbread, strawberry cake (husband loves it), and in-store fruit punch to try. All good! Will absolutely be returning.

" the food was either very blank or overly salted. I was looking forward to the food but I couldnt even finish it. The red beans and rice were tasteless, and the rice itself was so overcooked that it was mushy and gross. The gravy on the Smothered Pork Chops were non existent and the greens were so salty I could only eat two bites and throw the rest away. The Chicken & Sausage Gumbo was also SOOOO salty and the corn bread was extremely bland and you can tell it was old. The Candied Yams lacked flavor. It wasn't even sweet and all I could taste was cinnamon. Very disappointed. And also having to pay $7.95 for 6 TINY little shrimps was just crazy, I thought it would at least be medium sized shrimps but these were tiny tiny shrimps.
