"I was stunned at how small the mashed potatoes with gravy and rice were. They were $6.99 each. They were very little. Should've been half that price. I'm doubtful the mashed potatoes w/gravy were even real mashed potatoes, tasted like boxed. Like KFC. The rice was completely bland. AND the only reason I ordered it was I was supposed to get a large container of bbq black beans for free if I got 20 bucks worth of food. So I added food to get to the 20 bucks, including the rice & they didn't give me the black beans at all!! One reason I justified getting doordash today was that I would food ready tomorrow. Well, now I've had the soup, tiny mashed potatoes w/gravy & tiny rice & I'm still hungry & there's no food for tomorrow. I've never eaten at Pollo Loco before but thought they were pretty popular. "I got Chips and Guac with an extra Side of Guac (4oz) just to be safe, & glad I did because the guac was excellent and the chips were edible.
I also got a Golden Burrito "Afghan style" with a fried tortilla just to see what that would be like. It was kind of like a schmancy restaurant taco salad "tortilla bowl" but with I guess fewer restricted zones. Actually tons of veggies compared to a wrapped burrito. 9/10 will almost definitely order again.
