The pita bread was the same packaged version I usually buy at Costco, and it wasn’t even removed from the packaging. It definitely did not feel fresh or homemade.
The Lebanese Arayes Zaatar was also made with this same store-bought bread and came out dry, hard, and oily, with nothing resembling the soft and appealing bread shown in the pictures. The meats were acceptable, but the tabbouleh salad had no seasoning at all, and the sauces were served in very small portions without any distinctive flavor.
