I was extremely disappointed with my order from Boudreaux's. Nearly everything was so overloaded with salt that it was practically inedible. It honestly tasted as if someone accidentally dumped salt over the entire order and sent it out anyway.
The jambalaya tasted old and stale, and the portion was mostly rice with very little meat or other ingredients. It also had a watery, soup-like consistency rather than the rich flavor and texture I expected.
The red beans and rice tasted like canned beans and was mostly rice with hardly any beans at all. The boudin meatballs were also disappointing, consisting mainly of rice and excessive salt with very little flavor beyond that.
The catfish nuggets were overly salty, and the oysters suffered from the same problem. Every item seemed to have been heavily oversalted.
For the price, I expected much better quality and freshness. Unfortunately, this was one of the worst meals I've had in a long time"
