"I typically order from Panther cave at least every two weeks and usually get the same meal because it’s been consistently good. The last two times, my plantains were missing from my bowl, but I didn’t make a big deal about it and just took the food home and ate it.
This time, though, something was definitely off. I genuinely believe there may have been a different chef in the kitchen because the quality was noticeably worse. The chicken was burnt, the tomatoes were completely mushy and mixed into mushy rice before I even touched it, and the onions were inconsistent — half raw and half sautéed — with way too much added to the bowl. I also specifically asked for no queso frito and still received it. On top of that, some of the bell peppers were not fully cooked.
I normally enjoy eating here, which is why this experience was disappointing enough for me to leave a review. I hope the quality and attention to orders improves because this was not the standard I’m used to from Panda King."

Empanada – One Small Bite for $6
The online ordering photo showed two small-to-medium empanadas with tomato sauce. What did we get? One. Just one tiny empanada. It tasted decent—not the best, not the worst—but for the portion, $6 is just absurd.
Lomo Saltado – A $35 Disappointment
This dish is supposed to be made with ribeye, but what we received was barely a portion. The order came with about a cup of rice, a few pieces of steak, and exactly 4.5 fries (yes, we counted). But the real letdown? The steak was overcooked to the point of being chewy and hard. It genuinely tasted like yesterday’s leftovers drowned in sauce and passed off as fresh.
Final Verdict: A Complete Letdown
We dine out and order delivery often, and we don’t mind paying for quality food, we get that prices have gone up. But this? This was just laziness and poor execution, wrapped in an overpriced package.
Miami has so many great places serving lomo saltado, empanadas, and birria. If you’re going to charge premium prices, the food should at least meet basic expectations. Instead, we got subpar food with a side of disappointment.

"This used to be my favorite spot. The hosts at the front were always welcoming and nice. The food used to always come with free water, it was a decent sized portion not a lot but enough to make sure you were full. There were funny pictures of chickens in designer clothing at the front while you waited. I knew the first time I tried here it was the perfect spot for my family and I. We ordered from here quite frequently. The rice was covered with chicken and white sauce. To where you couldn't even see the rice at first. The chicken used to always be fresh out too burning your mouth as soon as you took a bite. My favorite place to go for halal food at night.

Higher prices, food is completely different in every way. Except the fries. The food itself is not bad but it missed that homey feeling it used to have. The chicken... is interesting. The Salad was very good. You are charged for white sauce but get the smallest amount of white sauce is put on the chicken. A very disappointing change.
