This was my first visit to Gyu-Kaku, and I placed a to-go order. The restaurant appeared clean and well-maintained, and the associate at pickup was friendly and professional, which I appreciated.
Unfortunately, several basics were missing from my order. I was told they were out of plastic utensils, and there were no napkins included, which made eating a takeout meal inconvenient.
As for the food, it was underwhelming. The miso soup was bland, lacking the expected depth of flavor. The salad arrived with no dressing at all, making it feel incomplete. The chicken and rice were also bland, with little seasoning overall.
While I appreciate the cleanliness of the location and the friendly service 🙂, the overall experience did not meet expectations—especially considering the brand and pricing.
With better attention to order accuracy and more consistent seasoning, this could be a much stronger takeout option. For now, it was just an okay experience."

"I first ate at this restaurant in person. The chicken katsu was incredible. Very moist and tasty. I have ordered it through Door Dash and it was so-so the first time and really disappointing the second time. The second time it was burned and cold. They barely give you any rice and the rice i received this tome was not very good. It was super dry and undercooked. It seemed like some grains were not even cooked at all. There isnt an option on Door Dash to order an extra rice, so I requested it in the requests. I also asked for extra katsu sauce. They only give you a half of a very small plastic container, the kind for ketchup. Thy did give me extra rice but not extra Katsu sauce. I also noted I didnt want miso soup or salad, which they clearly read and didnt provide. Something is clearly wrong with their kitchen. At $25 they should be ableto give you extra sauce (which I am actually happy to pay for - but no option to order). Probably wont order through DoorDash again. "
