The Chicken Dum Biryani (Bone-less) was very fragrant and flavourful, especially served with a delicious salan that was just the right amount, and then the raita with gulab for desert made it complete. My only annoyance was the I called in ahead and asked if the meat would be chicken breast, but it was boneless thigh which some people might prefer, but I would not have ordered it.
The Soldier Chicken is the ultimate appetizer. I went straight for them and they were so good thought the portion is definitely for one person. I also like that if you buy rice with it, you can take the left ove garnish and put it ontop of your main dish.
The Idly Vada Combo along with the side chutneys was a great price and I would have ordered two because I still had a lot of idly left.
I am glad to know this resto exists and will be checking it out again for Indian food. "

"I have now ordered the lamb biryani twice in the last week. The first time was because I had a late night craving. The second was because I liked it so much the first time.
It is a generous portion for two (unless, like me, you hate to share treasures like lamb biryani). The lamb is very tender. Mix it up before you eat it because then you get all the flavour - tasty, not greasy.
This one comes with a boiled egg too, and at medium spicy it was the perfect level of spice for someone who has grown up with spicy food. If you are not used to spice, order mild because you can always add hot sauce."

"Kalyug is one of my favorite restaurants in Canada. The food always reminds me of home, and honestly, I haven’t found a better taste anywhere else. The quality, flavor, and authenticity are outstanding. For me, Kalyug deserves a full 5-star rating.
I would just like to suggest a couple of small improvements. First, my order did not include disposable cutlery. It would be helpful if cutlery were included with takeout and delivery orders. Even if there is a small extra charge for it, I would not mind paying.
Second, the spicy sauce and the pickled onions (vinegar-marinated onions) were provided in very small quantities. These sides add a lot to the overall meal experience, and it would be great if a little more could be included, especially for regular customers.
Other than these minor suggestions, everything was excellent. The food is consistently delicious, the portions are satisfying, and the taste truly feels like home. I can honestly say that I haven’t had better Indian food anywhere else in Canada. Kalyug has earned my 5-star rating, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for authentic, home-style food"
