"excellent food, great quality items, fast service, exceptional delivery and quality of food outstanding"
"They call themselves Chaps Grill,
but in our minds, they are the Kings
of Breakfast. High QUALITY at
REASONABLE prices. DELICIOUS
food delivered in a TIMELY manner.
The Koshary is SO TASTY & FILLING
-- more than a 2000 year old recipe.
Influences from India (lentils and
spices), and China (noodles) with
Egyptian touches (chickpeas).
This combination reflects ancient
commercial routes: Arab traders
upon the Arabian Sea and Silk Road
caravans.
The egg platters Final Exam and
Sophomore are the apotheosis of
breakfast evolution.
Again, Grape Leaves and Caesar
were TERRIFIC.
When you first get up, Chaps springs
to mind for all your breakfast needs."

"I was snowed in and craving some homemade egyptian food. Next thing you know I found this place. I couldn't believe it. Their Egyptian Hawawshy is so fresh and mouth wateringly delicious. This is normally Egyptian street food, but it's made in a different, unique and better way that feels more home made. The Hummus & Pita was freshly made and generous portions. I really cannot wait to try everything else on the menu. I'm so excited that there's a quality Egyptian restaurant here in New Haven (finally). I encourage everyone to try it. I'll be ordering from here regularly!"
"Amazing middle eastern food. The Egyptian Hawawshy is to die for. It's sorta becoming addictive. I decided to try the Baba Ganoush today. It was good, but I wouldn't necessarily call it fresh. However, it certainly wasn't bad. If there is only one criticism I have of this place--which can be easily improved--they need to bring their prices down. Their current prices are a little too high, and they won't be able to keep up with the competition in this economy. Unless of course they only have a short-term vision, and don't plan on staying open for long."

"I ordered the egg&cheese with avocado and tomato. let's just say a delicious sandwich!!! I was a little bothered by how thick the tomatoes were cut, but other than that loved every part of it, also ate most of them. My boyfriend enjoyed his sandwich as well. Got to us fresh and hot. thank you!!! "
"Extremely small portions for double the price of any other breakfast restaurant. Plus the bacon was not cooked at all. The breakfast burrito was so small that the content of both halves wouldn't even be half a sandwich anywhere else. I'll never order from here again. "

"I only gave this place a 2nd chance bc it was on sale but I remember why i didn't favorite this place bc of how stingy they are with their meat.
My large styrofoam plate was 95% Rice and 5% protein as in 1 chicken breast.
The pork ribs was the size of my pinky. There were only 4 pieces and of course, it came with a pound of rice as well.
The sale is not worth it. I won't be ordering from here again."

"Everything was really good. 6 Fried Mozzarella were crispy and the marinara had a great flavor. The Turkey Club&Fries was a huge sandwich, fresh ingredients so lettuce tomato were delicious and the bacon was made fresh could tell it wasnt precooked and sitting out like some places do. Turkey was your basic lunchmeat. Overall very good food and would definitely order again. "

"From someone who lives in NJ, and obsessed with my bacon egg and cheese, this bagel was phenomenal. Only thing was that my smoothie wasnt filled to the top, but that maybe because of delivery saftey purposes. Thank you!!! "
"Don't order from here. Smoothies were not good. They were basically just water juice. I ordered a "Large" "Freshly juiced" orange juice and got a bottle of tropicana. The bagels weren't great. The sausage egg and cheese came with no cheese and just a sad slab of sausage. Just not good. Everything was greasy. I ordered a side of bacon and it came with only two sad pieces that were burnt."

"The falafel, chef's kiss! The salad was good and their bread. Pls make the chicken tender next time and more rice pls. Thank you for being generous."
"I don't usually write negative reviews, but if you are highly familiar with Turkish cuisine, this is NOT the place you want to order from. So many other alternative options and places that are way too better than this one. Let's start with the Pan-fried Liver / Arnavut Cigeri, it was NOT FRESH and overcooked. It tasted like it was sitting in the refrigerator for a week and they took it out and put it in the microwave to the point where it's completely dried out. I then decided to put that aside and try the Mixed Grill / Karışık Izgara, omg same issue. All the meat was very overcooked, hard, and dry!! To add insult to injury, I decided to take a sip of Ayran hoping I would at least enjoy that, but even that was horrible. They might as well just sell bottled Ayran if making their own tastes this bad. Last but not least, the Baba Ganoush was probably the most edible thing I ordered, only because it was not too old albeit not fresh. I made a big order hoping to enjoy myself, but was very disappointed and would never order from here again; and would advise anyone not to waste their money on a place that charges so much for poor quality food. I would've been better off ordering from Saray or Turkish Kebab House in West Haven. I thought I would try something new, but hey, you live and you learn."

"These were amazing Boreks. Super crunchy, ultra flaky. The buttery smell is just like smell of the ones I had back in Istanbul. The cauliflower filling was a perfect match with the Borek dough. The chocolate Borek is a sophisticated takeoff. Halva mousse was perfect with the Nutella base. My guests loooved it, we licked our fingers. Will order again "
"The Borkes were delicious like last time. The Sahlep was a great choice for a winter day, and the desert, the Basbousa, every bite is divine. Can't wait for the next time we order "

"The Orange Blossom Latte was so good, as was the chocolate cake! Huge slice that I was able to share !!"
"Overpriced for the portion size - almost $8 for a slice of cake that was literally 4 bites. Also, an item I ordered was out of stock and they substituted AND CHARGED me extra for a different item (which I had already ordered). So basically, got 2 of the same overpriced item that ended up tasting just okay. "

"Great food. Taste is awesome and very fresh. The only downside is: it's really overpriced. But that's not uncommon when you're ordering from kosher places."
"First time ordering from here. We will do so again. I am curious to try other of your offerings!
We Loved the cappuccinos being HOT! The muffuins were good. Pristine presentation
We were not inspired by the mint lemonade. Was that dried mint? The mint used gave the beverage an off flavor to us. In the end the drink did not taste like lemonade. The blended flavors created a drink with an unrecognizable flavor."
