"We wanted to like this place, especially under new ownership, but our first experience will definitely be our last. The $19 "American Breakfast" was missing half the items, but the bigger problem is what they did send: overcooked pancakes, a giant heap of unseasoned home fries, and scrambled eggs with no discernible flavor. At that price point for what is essentially pancakes/eggs/potatoes, you expect something decent or flavorful, but it was stunningly bland. They also didn't read the notes for one item and sent another giant heap of unseasoned homefries, and somehow there was chocolate on the outside of the container for the chocolate pancakes. I'd love to know how that happened. Ultimately, it's overpriced and underdelivers. There are so many other great options in this area, and you're better off going to one of them."

Have some damn pride in what you're doing as a business; I live on the 2900 block of Frankford, and this place is on the 2500 block of Frankford and my food still arrived cold and soggy!
They placed the fries in a cardboard box with no ventilation so all it does is steam itself and drip moisture back onto the fries creating a soggy mess.
The Steak is generic and basic with barely any cheese or onions. D- grade Steak considering we live in Philly where we have world-class shops like Angelo's, Del Rossi's, Bob's, Woodrow's, etc. are, and we get some super chopped up generic steak you get when you're somewhere in the sticks of Kentucky where they advertise "Philly Cheesesteak."
This place is close to Fiore's who has a very premium cheesesteak for a similar price and you get your money's worth. This diet Cheesesteak should be half the price it is.
My wife can never eat an entire steak at Fiore's, yet she finished this entire jawn and ate some of my soggy fries.

"I'm not normally a fried shrimp person. I think it's almost always a waste of a way to prepare shrimp compared to any other method. But I was curious because of the reviews, so I gave it a shot.
It delivers! It's not your usual bland breading with little (if any) salt or pepper. It's well-seasoned with some cajun and citrus notes, and I swear they also infuse flavor into the shrimp. The rice and beans with gravy is GREAT. Lots of flavor in the rice and the juices. Reminds me of Gigi's back when they still ran food trucks. Portions are great especially for the price. Eight medium shrimp and they don't skimp on the sides.
Also heard great things about the whiting, but it wasn't on the menu or I would have ordered that too. I'm a sucker for good whiting I don't have to fry myself, and the way they handle their shrimp gives me hope. The rice and beans also make me want to try their jerk and pepper steak despite the ratings.
