Perhaps I'm just confused, but I could've sworn that CSB's onion rings were beer-battered and had that smoother texture to them like the O-rings they'd sell at the old Lakeside Café across the street from Allie's FedEx & Knickknack store (and I think maybe Denny's too?), instead of the way they make them at Jack in the Box, Sonic, and similar drive-thru places. The beer-battered version is how I prefer my onion rings, and usually CSB knocks it out of the park... but unfortunately, not this time. Overall, I consider these to be nitpicks and not a hard and definitive "bad review". I still believe this restaurant is an overall hidden gem and worth eating at."
