"Had been to the Horsham restaurant a few years ago and had a good meal so was hopeful when this opened in Flourtown. So very disappointed with my second meal from here. The first meal was not great, but it was shortly after they opened and wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt so tried again . The crispy shrimp had so much breading on them and were so greasy. The pork in garlic sauce had so much sugar in it that it was not enjoyable and very gloppy. Pork dumplings had a filling that was also very sweet and the dumpling was so thick. It was more like a pork bun but not good. Not edible. Wanted something authentic but this was not that. Won't ever go back. Sigh. "

"On recommendation by friends, this was my first time eating from 'China House,' (one of at least three restaurants using the same name) which was confusing. I'm delighted to have used this one, as the food was delicious, particularly the
MF 5. Singapore Mei Fun and R 8. House Special Fried Rice, both with generously-loaded with
shrimp, chicken, and pork, among other ingredients. While the Mei Fun was good 'n spicy, the chef made it perfectly without dumping in a
bucket of curry, making you thirsty all night long.
The SO 5. Hot & Sour Soup was well-spiced, with a
rich, brown (beef?) broth, ample-bodied with tofu, shoots, shitaki mushrooms, and who knows what-else, to shake the taste buds awake!!

The General Tso's was actually spicy, the Crab Rangoon was in triangles so it was easier to eat, all of the sushi rolls were fantastic. They provided soy sauce in plastic containers we could use to dip the sushi in. Much to our surprise, they even included an extra little dish as a treat (labeled "Treat") and a very cute wall calendar. This is now one of our favorite restaurants!"
