"My boyfriend and I tried Monty’s Chicken & Waffles after seeing a promo buy one 3-piece tenders & waffles meal, get one free. Sadly, we only received one meal instead of two, so we had to split a single portion. Not a great first impression.
As for the food: the waffle was completely plain — no flavor, no buttery richness, nothing that stood out. It came with maple syrup but no butter, which felt odd for a chicken and waffles combo. The tenders were just okay — not juicy, not crispy, just kind of there.
We also ordered the watermelon juice, which was portrayed as fresh and refreshing. It was the opposite. It tasted old, flat, and not remotely worth the $8.50 price tag. Honestly felt like a waste.
Overall, this experience was a disappointment. Between the missing promo item, bland food, and overpriced juice, it just didn’t live up to the hype. I really wanted to like this place, but sadly I won’t be ordering from here again."
