This is my first time ordering from here & I had come to this area from the Allentown area where there is an ABUNDANCE of rich latin cultural cuisine, small mom & pops on just about every corner in the city, all this say Im extremely tuned in on Spanish food & in this instance, im sorry to say, but the pastry to meat ratio in the empanada is almost horriafying. I saw the empanadas are rated normally extremely high, thats either because A. just mine happened to be bad or B. the people doing these rankings really haven't had anything to compare it too. The taste overall was great I will point that out but the meat content was atrocious. The meat may have filled a large spoonfull after taking the entire pastry apart. Chilaquiles with steak. Steak was very good, salsa verde was very flavorful, no where near as spicy as I'd hope but still tasty. Chilaquiles are meant to be crunchy even when after drenched in salsa by a reasonable margin, I'm not sure why, but they were more soggy than I expected even from a delivery take out. The huarache base was made by hand as described, they did unfortunately skimped out on the quantity of pastor on it, but not by a lot. Maybe it's their style here? Could use a bit of balancing, does not feel like much of an in house seasoning (pastor), but I could be wrong. I still ate all of it. No food should be wasted. Horchata and Jamaica water (at least this batch) were very well balanced not overly sweet that gives that weird aftertaste. "The worst food order experience I have had in years. The street corn serving was about a third of a cup. They aren't saving money on expensive ingredients... we are talking corn and a bit of cheese. I was annoyed by the corn but quickly forgot that offense when I opened the container of tortilla soup and found that was also about a third of a cup. Maybe they are sizing the takeout orders with an ice cream scoop? There was virtually no broth. See pictures, in each case that's with just a couple of bites taken. Prison rations are likely more generous. Finally, the tacos were weak. A bit better than Taco Bell maybe (close call), but literally worse than any other Mexican restaurant within delivery distance. Wow, this place is bad. We've gone there for years because it's convenient to our house and the food has always been at least ok, albeit never great. But the quality has fallen off a cliff. Total ripoff. "

"Excellent food and service! I have had the traditional burrito with chicken, enchiladas suizas, and the chimichanga w/cheese sauce. All were exceptional. I wish I hadn't discovered the chimichanga with cheese sauce because it is addictive. My husband is not crazy about the pork tamales but he has enjoyed the chiles rellenos, enchiladas suizas, and other enchiladas. Many places where we order Tex-Mex, the chicken is tough and inconsistent but so far that has not been the case here. The carnitas in my burrito was tender and flavorful. I hope this restaurant stays here a long time!"
