"So I'll start with the good. their fried rice is very good, as well as the egg rolls. With that said this kung pao chicken, was a Kung pow disaster in my book. The only vegetables were carrots and celery, oh and 3 pieces, yes I counted , of green pepper, and some peanuts were thrown on top. okay I can handle that, what bothered me the most is the chicken itself. It is tiny little deep fried morsels of chicken. but it's not even like a real bite of chicken it's more breading than anything. There were only a few that would equate to popcorn chicken size.
And I don't know what spices they use, if any, but to me all it tasted like was that it was doused in hot sauce and not a very good hot sauce at that. I've had there general's chicken and it was good, so I'm hoping this is just an isolated incident."

" oh boy! This is the fourth review I'm trying to leave. It seems like each time I try to submit pictures, the app shuts down. So I'll just have to describe any more detail. Sides were overcooked, and the containers were roughly half full. The vegetable medley was all spring squash, essentially in a piece of broccoli. No real flavor. Clearly the end of the day or something. The Cobb salad was pretty good – but it had very little blue cheese, onions, and egg. There was a pinch of cheddar in the center that melted because they placed the Shrimp wrapped in aluminum on top of it. The shrimps are overcooked and tiny. Not expected, but what can you do. Other places like TGI Fridays, Lazaros, outback have made better Cobb salads. So why did I order from them you guys? Actually I've ordered a couple times and I'm trying to support local businesses. I have to say despite lesser portionsand perhaps things being a little overcooked… The salads were fresh! There was no rancid greens or anything like that. And it's happened to me before especially with tomatoes. So kudos folks for not throwing anything around in there! Again, sorry no pictures. It just won't let me do it."

"I’m just not really sure what gourmet about this place. I find the food to be mediocre at best, and the prices are absolutely astronomical for what you were given. People rave about the chicken lettuce wraps, and I agree that it was the best thing that I received. But it’s basically just moo shu chicken with a bunch of iceberg lettuce on the side (and the lettuce is not even cleaned well; I had to rinse them in the sink to get dirt off). I also got BBQ spare ribs which had very little meat on them. It was not worth the money and very hard to gnaw the measly portion off the bones.
I ordered shrimp lo mein thinking that the shrimp would be of higher quality than the typical Chinese takeout place, but the shrimp were extremely overcooked and too tough to chew, so I ended up not eating the shrimp. On top of that, there wasn’t a vegetable in sight. I’m used to seeing green onions, mushrooms, and the occasional piece of broccoli or carrot in lo mein, and this was just noodles with impossible to eat shrimp.
The last thing I got was chicken with broccoli which was mediocre at best. The pieces of chicken were admittedly gigantic (3+ bites per piece) and pounded so thin that they were extremely dry, but the brown sauce was good, and that is something that I find is lacking elsewhere. But, for these 4 things, I spent over $100. I really find that to be unconscionable, even in today’s inflated economy. This was the last of 3 chances that I’ve given to this restaurant, both in person and via delivery. I think I’ll stick with the more mediocre Chinese food options that we have in Monmouth county. At least they don’t PRETEND to be “gourmet”."
