"I had never ordered from Sappore before, but I was craving a Philly cheesesteak and found them through DoorDash’s “Happy Hour” section. First of all, bravo to them for offering an affordable menu during select times—something rare these days! I was initially drawn to their plain pizza, which was priced reasonably (not $28 like many places!). While the cheesesteak wasn’t part of the Happy Hour deal, I was so impressed by the rest of their menu that I decided to give it a try, along with an order of cheese fries. Let me tell you, this is the spot I’ve been searching for in Atlantic County. I was nearly in tears because everything was just that good. The Philly cheesesteak? Glorious. It tasted like plain boxed pasta tossed with something like a generic supermarket marinara sauce. Definitely not restaurant quality. The salad? Barely a handful of greens with a packet of dressing on the side — like something you’d grab from Wawa, not what you’d expect when paying $36 for a meal.
