"This meal was incredibly authentic and delicious. It was super fresh and came piping hot. The Chicken Agda (Loubia) was the star. A tomato based stew with amazing aromatic flavors like ginger, onions, garlic. Everything merged well together, nothing tasted like it stood out (you won't notice if you say "i dont like onion") So so so so flavorful and the chicken falls off the bone. Tasted so homemade, and reminded me of my mom's Sudanese cooking. One of the best meals I have had in the city, paired well with the aromatic perfectly cooked rice with lots of cardamon flavor. The Fassolia is also so delicious - love the smooth texture. Loved it. Hearty and healthy, lightly salted. It can be ordered alone, but I wanted to pair it. The meal came with a lemony, pepper sauce and was so well balanced. This is the way it is traditionally eaten in Sudan too (hot diced peppers, lemon, chili sauce---like a better spicy Yemini fine pico de gallo relish). So thoughtful to include 2. "We've ordered from here several times since they've opened and will likely keep coming back as long as we are in the neighborhood. They cook the meats fresh throughout the day which is great. Chicken over rice and Chicken+Lamb over rice are great and come in a pretty big portion with salad on the side, which has always been fresh and crunchy even at 10pm. The choice of sauces is complementary and can be customized based on individual spice tolerance. The Chicken Pita wrap was also good and filling, although I didn't find it as flavorful as the Chicken over rice - too much white sauce for my enjoyment.
