"This was my first time ordering from here. I ordered the Combo (Lamb and Chicken) Over Rice and it was LOADED with flavor, especially the chicken! In fact, the chicken was so good that next time I might just order that instead of the combo. (Nothing wrong with the lamb; it just didn't pack as much flavor as the chicken.) I also took advantage of the opportunity to add falafel & kafta to the dish so I could try most of their proteins. The falafel was OK - a bit under-seasoned - but the kafta (which came cut up) was tasty. Also, I tried all their sauces except their BBQ. Hot sauce (level 2) burned my tongue on the very first bite & then built up more heat - thankfully their signature White Sauce was cool & creamy; the cukes in the Salata (mixed side salad) also helped. Could not really make out the Green Sauce. The portion was pretty good, too, for the price; I actually had leftovers. Overall, a really good dish! For dessert I got the Assorted Bakhlava which came in a sealed plastic container, so obviously not made on-site, and the four pieces were small, but for $3.49 I still think it was a good deal. I'll definitely try this place again!"

"Those baked lamb shanks really hit the spot. There were two of them, generous in size and perfect for sharing, in a rich nutmeggy tomato sauce. Just wonderful. It's usually a special so you might have to call to find out if it's available. So yummy and special."

"First off I should mention that a lot of my problems may be related to the fact that I ordered late in their serving day. On the other hand the mark of a quality restaurant is consistent top quality from the time you first open your doors each day until you shut the doors each night. Sadly they miss the mark here. There are suggestions in their flavorings and seasonings that suggest at 5 you might have a top-notch meal here ( especially if you dine in. I'm not sure this food travels particularly well ). I ordered the half chicken. A restaurant that specializes in roast chicken ought to have mastered the knack to cooking the dark meat through without drying out the breast meat. Not so here. The skin was flavorful and crispy but the white meat was painfully dry. Wish I would say that of the sautéed green beans. Possibly they started out the day fresh but the beans were cooked to steam table mush, and they tasted like they had been just been tipped out of a car. The potatoes were brightly seasoned, but only a few of the pieces held together -- most of them were disintegrating into mush. The orange cake was delicately flavored, but for the price you'd think you'd get enough for two people to share. Not so. A brownie would be ashamed to be cut as small as this piece of orange cake was. There's enough hints in the seasonings to suggest this place might be worth a try. But if you'd like to give it a try I suggest going for lunch. I would certainly not recommended chancing it after 6 pm!"
