"The Phat Daddy Dog Sandwich is a hidden gem. A flavor bomb in th best way 😋. Delicious all-beef frank that is cut lengthwise and grilled delivering nice char flavor ove maximum surface area, buttery toasted bun,topped with perfectly porportioned cheese and chili. I was delightfully surprised at just how much flavor it punched. I paired it with a side of Fresh Cut Fries which were also delicious. Fries are handmade, not at all oily. "I rarely leave a restaurant review, but I have had DoorDash from Kel's Tavern, 'Tavern Burger' three times in two weeks because it's the very best burger (made to order-medium rare, is my preference), I've had in years. Delicious, high quality meat, cooked to perfection with a generous helping of toppings like bacon, cheese, etc. Add to that the excellent sweet tater fries with the tastey dip and the classic wedge salad and well, I'm a huge fan. "The meatloaf and broccoli casserole were amazing. I would definitely order again. 10/10. Portions are amazing. However the regular mashed potatoes were the worst i've ever had at a restaurant. They taste like when your parents were lazy, boiled the potatoes, and then just mashed them with a fork. I'm guessing they didn't use some type of cream to mix in with them to make them light and fluffy. Very grosse. I've ordered them twice in two separate months. Do not get the mashed potatoes."
