"got the tacos al Taco Al Pastor / Seasoned Pork taco dinner. flavor was fine, price was good, portions were great. fresh cilantro and onions, but overall a fine taco."
"Tacos themselves were fine, chicken was well seasoned but didn't get any cilantro or onion. The Quesadilla Gigante / Giant Quesadilla was truly god awful. Store-bought quality tortilla and virtually no cheese on it. Tasted bland, stale, and it was very small for the price. Would not order again, looks nothing like the photo"

"This is my first time trying this place. I was craving the comfort food of my people - sinigang baboy for today's rainy day and lechon kawali. Both were delicious and truly exceeded my expectations. They were exactly what I wanted. The sinigang was the right sour and still piping hot (even with the hour delivery time which I didn't mind because it was clearly communicated from the beginning). Same with the lechon kawali, it was still crispy and the mang Tomas dipping sauce was a bonus. As a bonus to the delicious food, the price points were very reasonable and I feel like I got great value for my meal. I highly recommend this place and I can't wait to order again from this restaurant the next time I crave Filipino food!!! "
"The Sotanghon was delicious and serving size waa very generous. Lots of vegetables but not too much meat. The Sinigang (Baboy) was also a generous serving (head's up, it's very sour, which i like). The Tokwa't Baboy was pretty good, too !"

"First time ever having a Huarache. These things are tasty and filling! Like an entree sized tostada with more fixins. The Torta al Pastor was quite good as well on the sweeter side which is what I prefer and, although not generous, it was a totally fair size for the price and quite filling. "

"Could've had more egusi. Kinda looks like it's been eaten out of. More Spanish than melon seed. Flavor is nice. Looks a bit rushed & just throw in the bowl! Definitely not worth over $20.50 only 4 small pieces of plantain for the price is ridiculous."

"I LOVEDDDD 10/10 Egusi, Pepper soup, & Okra soup all with goat meat. Super fresh and hot & came with more than enough fufu for everything! Definitely my new spot ! The egusi did leack a bit of palm oil but im sure thats the dashers doing lol"
"This was my first try with african cuisine, and Im so glad I picked this place. The Spinach & Egusi Stew was special with lots of flavor. I ordered with chicken, I received two large drumsticks, they were juicy, fried (not breaded) and it added such a nice crisp and char to the dish. Also a good amount of spice! but it wasnt too much spice for me and im usually a mild spice person. Would reccommend to anyone curious about egusi"

"The "boneless bangus paksiw" (fish stew) that I got in my combo was definitely not boneless, so avoid that if fish bones are a problem for you. That said, the taste was on point! Not too weak, not too strong, but just right. I enjoyed it very much; it just shouldn't have "boneless" in the name. And the portion was generous - I ordered a Combination Plate with the chicken inasal and that fish stew, and I got close to a half chicken and (it looked like) most of the fish other than the head and collar. So that combo plate is an excellent value for the money. I agree with the reviewer who said the garlic rice could use more garlic, but overall this combo plate was a good time, and I made two meals out of it.
The Suman Sa Lihiya could easily be split between either two or four people. Definitely too much for one person to eat in one sitting. It comes with toppings/dippers of a brown sugar based sauce and some shredded coconut. This seemed to be the most "basic" flavor of suman from what I could tell, and I liked it, so I'll be trying other flavors.
The Lumpia Sariwa pictured here was fresh and seemed well executed. It turned out not to be a wow for me, but I could tell it was a matter of "I don't particularly care about this dish" rather than anything wrong.
Overall, as you can see there were some minor imperfections, but overall it was very worth it, and I will be trying more dishes here. This was my first time trying Filipino food, and I'm glad I picked this place. "
"
First things first, the crunchy pork belly was a game-changer. The moment I took a bite, I was greeted with a satisfying crunch that gave way to tender and succulent meat. The flavor was out of this world, with a perfect balance of savory and slightly sweet notes. Each piece was expertly cooked and seasoned to perfection. It was like a party in my mouth!
Now, let's talk about the tocino sweet pork. This dish was a delightful explosion of flavors. The pork was incredibly tender and had a beautiful caramelized glaze that added a touch of sweetness. The combination of the savory meat, the sticky glaze, and the fluffy rice was pure magic. And let's not forget the perfectly cooked eggs on top, adding a creamy richness to the dish.
The pork belly was beautifully arranged with a garnish of fresh herbs, while the tocino sweet pork was served with a side of sunny side eggs and fresh tomatoes that added a tangy contrast to the sweetness of the meat.
I can't recommend Imas Kitchen enough. If you're a fan of crispy, flavorful pork belly and mouthwatering tocino sweet pork, this is the place for you. It's a culinary adventure that will leave you craving for more."

"La comida sabe rico, pero lamentablemente mi pedido llegó completamente diferente a lo que ordené. Pedí dos almuerzos diferentes con frijoles y papas fritas, y recibí dos iguales. Además, pagué por un churro de arequipe que nunca recibí. "Nile of Hyde Park misses the mark where it matters most. The chicken shawarma was dry and lifeless, the chips that came with the shawarma were stale, and the bread for the soup arrived still sealed in its plastic packaging. "The Combo #4 Vegetarian was delicious, however I overpaid considering that 85% of this dish was rice. There were barely any vegetables... The Peerakai Bolani perhaps didn't travel well as it arrived to me absolutely soggy with grease, but then again all of the food was excessively oily. It also seems I overpaid for this, as they were hardly filled. I had a late order, so I will give them the benefit of the doubt. Great flavors, poor execution. Better luck next time?"

"Really solid Nigerian food. The whipped okra soup was flavorful with fresh fish and good spice level. The dark fufu was smooth, sticky, and not too sour — perfect texture. Portions were generous and the food tasted authentic and homemade. Definitely one of the better African food spots I’ve tried on the road."
"This was my first time trying whipped okra stew. I must say I'm absolutely hooked!! My daughter and I found out about Nigerian Kitchen two years ago while walking through the Uptown area. My daughter tried the egusi and I had the goat pepper soup as well as their pounded yam. We knew then, that we would be "Forever customers". They are consistent in proportion, attention to detail and service. I enjoy the authentic flavor and the love put in every dish!! I thank you for talking with me about my order and making sure it was so delectable!! I ordered fish and goat with my whipped okra. The goat was tender and the fish was cooked just right. This dish has a slight kick, (I love heat) but it goes great with the pounded yam.. Chef's Kiss!! I will be back at the end of the week!!"

"One of the best in Chicago. Very authentic, exceptional service and consistently delicious. They never disappoint "
"The rigatoni was okay. The GARLIC BREAD didnt have much flavor, but the bread was nice and crunchy, so worth the price. The RICOTTA GNOCCHI was terrible! First off the portion, was tiny, and not at all what I would expect for the price. Beyond that, it tasted only of lemon. Didn't taste gnocchi, nor ricotta, only lemon. Tart, sweet and pretty inedible. Super disappointed "

"I was craving Pad Thai and they really delivered! Exactly what I wanted, the flavor was great and the lime on top really accentuated the flavor. The egg rolls had pepper flaked in it which highlighted the crunchy flaky wrap it was so good! Would get again!"
"Shrimp Pad Thai is absolutely delicious. Not too sweet yet still flavorful, and the shrimp already had the tails removed. 10/10 would order again! I wish the crab rangoon had more imitation crab meat in it. The cream cheese was slightly too sweet. I've had better at other restaurants where the rangoons were 3x as big and very meaty."
