I don't think I can order sushi without it now. the Harumaki (4) is so crunchy and delicious. the sweet and sour sauce it comes with has a little kick to it, but it isn't overpowering, in my opinion. we got the making combo C. which is a nice basic combo of rolls. I also ordered a spider hand roll. it was the first time having a hand roll, and I think I'll go back to the regular roll after that. It just isn't for me, and it's not as easy to share. the general tso chicken is always on point. we get it every time. made with crispy white meat chicken and a sweet and spicy sauce. im sure the heat could be adjusted to your personal preference. I will probably ask for it to be spicier in the future. I wish I could afford to order akebono every night!"

"Takeout order - ordered American * American Dream , Lobster Bisque , Boneless Short Rib , Mushroom Risotto , Spicy Crunchy Tuna Roll, Rock Shrimp Tempura, * Takayama , and Japanese Fried Rice / Udon/yaki Soba (with shrimp). Overally, very disappointing. The best thing was the Mushroom Risotto side - great depth of flavor, using forbidden rice was a very nice touch for that. Spicy Crunchy Tuna roll was just a spicy tuna roll - no crunch. Lobster Bisque was OK. Takayama roll was not good - was not crunchy and no jalapeño. American Dream roll also not as described. The fried rice was an absolute let down - dry, no flavor, and the tiny shrimp you get in cheap Chinese fried rice. Short rib was the biggest disappointment. Very nice piece, but lacking any flavor and needed more cook time - still tough and not a good mouth feel when chewing through. This place is new - but they do have another older location in commack - the food shouldn't be this poor. And those signature rolls? not going to cut it with what Moca is delivering in that regard just across the street. "
