I paid extra for the 10 Flavored Wings BBQ which usually comes already covered in the sauce but I received plain wings with 2 small sides of bbq sauce that doesn't taste like the normal sauce it tasted more like store bought sweet baby rays and it wasn't enough to cover the wings. As someone who just moved from DC to Miami, I was excited (but hesitant) to try a Jamaican spot down here. Sadly, this was a huge letdown. I spent $42 and got what I can only describe as a flavorless meal.
The oxtails tasted like they were simmered in ketchup, no depth, no richness, just a weird, sweet tang. Rice and peas were overcooked and somehow still managed to have no flavor. The majority of the plate was rice too! The cabbage? Barely any on the plate but what was there was hard, dry, and lifeless. And to top it all off, the beef patty was basically empty inside just air and disappointment.
Not sure if it's an off day for them but if you’re from the DMV and know what good Jamaican food tastes like, do yourself a favor and skip this place. I wish I had trusted my gut and not ordered. Definitely not worth the money. See pictures. "
