"For context, before this review I was an infrequent user of DoorDash, and totally unfamiliar with The Burger Den. However, after a long day in the field that turned into a longer evening of paperwork in my hotel room, DoorDash and The Den were a high convenience, low expectation choice. To my pleasant surprise, I was totally blown away by both this evening! Here are some highlights…
1. Delivery. Crazy fast! I think the Dasher beat the estimate by 10-15 minutes. Bravo!
2. Order. I had the Vibe with Shrooms with standard Wavy Fries. Since order came from > 5 miles (which could take 3 days in LA!), I had resigned myself to the usual soggy, delivery fries. Instead, I was greeted by the waft of HOT, CRISPY slabs of perfectly seasoned potato goodness, and ample ketchup packets to go with.
Let’s talk burger... Patty. PERFECT cook and temp. Brioche bun. Soft, sweet, and on point. Shrooms and onions. Sautéed and portioned with finesse that usually doesn’t come wrapped in foil and served in a cardboard box. Last stop, cheese. Folks, the cheese was so hot and stringy that it got caught in my beard! (Yes, I'm saving it for later. Gross, I know, but I gotta be me, and the cheese was sooo gooood!).
3. Surprise of the evening. I almost fell over when I realized that The Burger Den is a virtual brand of Denny’s?!? Before today, I wouldn't think Denny's capable of the best gastropub-esque burger I've had in years! Truly, I’m impressed, and I’ll be back!

The patty was cooked to temp which is good but the buns were soaking in oil it was falling apart so i ended up not eating the rest and had to throw it away!! "This was the first time I ordered from here and all I can say is wow. The chili verde madness was so tasty and had so much meat that it dripped out of the sandwich. The cheesy hash brown fritters were so crispy on the outside and perfectly cooked on the inside and then to dip them in the aioli was just splendid. To end this delicious meal with a blueberry scone that is so fresh and full of blueberries well what more could you ask for but more, more and more. "I’m sorry to say this, but for $16.50, what I received was disappointing. The burger itself tastes great, and the quality and freshness are definitely there. However, the portion size compared to the price feels hard to justify. Paying nearly $20 for a burger and fries that are similar in size to something you’d get at McDonald’s just doesn’t feel reasonable.
I completely understand that market conditions impact pricing, and I respect that. That said, I would gladly pay $20 if the portions were more substantial. Unfortunately, as it stands, I don’t think I would order again.
I’m sharing this feedback honestly in hopes it’s helpful—an increase in portion size would make the price feel much more justified."

"We were so excited to find this local burger spot about a month ago and had been back three or four times since because the burgers were always juicy, flavorful, and well-made. We even had family over recently and couldn’t wait to introduce them to our new favorite place.
Unfortunately, this last visit was really disappointing. We ordered three extra cheeseburgers and one double, but all of them were NOT fresh but dry and skimpy on toppings. The quality just wasn’t what we had come to expect, and it was frustrating since we were trying to get them more business by sharing it with others.
We usually come here because of the quality, so we really hope this was just an off day and not a sign of what’s to come. We will most likely try other places before coming back and ordering again."
