It was still an excellent sandwich; the rye bread was fresh, not overloaded with mustard (I ordered without the sauerkraut because I simply don't eat it for fear of food poisoning. Just so I am clear, I have never experienced food poisoning at Hometown ever, but with delivery I simply don't feel it's worth any risk. But, while the meat is delicious and plentiful; I attached a photo to demonstrate. Pastrami is usually a long, thin strip with a smoke ring and has a distinct taste and texture. This seemed, tasted and looked much more like corned beef rather than pastrami; but still a great sandwich as I enjoy the occasioal corned beef too.
I like to try and keep my business local; and Downtown Deli has fresh, hearty and delicious meals at good prices. I enjoy their lox occasionally. But, they've never disappointed me "
