"Honest review: I was skeptical of this place because all of the reviews were either really good or the people reviewing didn't like the food at all. I thought the food was above average. Not the best or worst food I've ever had but this is definitely a good spot for some soul food. It's probably some of the best soul food in town that I've had and will get it again when I'm craving it. The Smoked Chicken was definitely the star of the show and was very flavorful and came with an extra piece than what was shown in the picture. (3 pieces) Portion size was good for the price. The Cajun fries and jambalaya could have been a little spicier or more flavorful but they were good overall. The Mac N' Cheese was about average. Won't blow you away but definitely wasn't disappointing either. Overall, I'll probably try them again to see how the other items taste and am happy somewhere sells this type of food in town. If you're on the fence, you should try it. It definitely hits the spot if you're craving this type of food. 4/5"
