"very good bbq Chicken & Rib Platter was great"

"This is our second time ordering here. The first time created raving fans, but this time we were highly disappointed. We ordered the trio with pork ribs, brisket and pulled pork. First off, for the price, portions were too small. They gave us 4 ribs but 2 of them were the ends and had barely any meat on them. 2 of the brisket pieces were great (moist) but the other 2 were dry as hell. The pulled pork was too salty (and I'm a salt fan!). We got a ton of sides - the baked beans, mac and cheese, brussel sprouts were good, but the corn dish was marginal - like it came from a can (so not fresh). Overall the sauces were good. Unfortunately we can no longer say we are raving fans status. Unlikely we will order again."

Awesome food! the pinto beans were kinda bland, but I had some cotija cheese and cilantro in the fridge and dressed everything up to make it perfect. I have always eaten at the restaurant in global market and never ordered it as delivery before. It showed up with the rice and beans being luke warm at best, unfortunately, but when I took it all out of the container to add the cheese and cilantro, I reheated those and everything was good again. I recommend trying this place if you haven't yet. It's better at the restaurant, but can easily be reheated if you get delivery and that won't ruin the flavors or the texture of it, (unless, of course, you heat up food that should be cold)."

It is still as delicious now as it was then.The heat is perfect, they give you just enough of the sauce to make it flavorful but dangrous. And the 62. Ja-jang-myeon! " I first discovered this restaurant on DoorDash as a newcomer, and as a lover of soul food, I was immediately intrigued. Being a cook myself and originally from Chicago by way of the South, I’ve had the chance to taste soul food from many places during my travels. I can confidently say they live up to their quote: “It’s just like grandma’s.” This is my third time ordering from them, and though I haven’t visited the establishment in person yet, I work in North Minneapolis and plan to stop by soon. So far, I’ve tried their catfish, baked macaroni and cheese, sweet potatoes, and caramel cake, and I’ve been impressed every time. The catfish is always cooked perfectly—seasoned just right without being overly salty, which is refreshing for soul food. The mac and cheese has a delightful baked flavor, with a perfect balance of ingredients. The texture is consistently on point, and it’s cheesy without being overwhelming. The sweet potatoes are a standout for me (yams are my favorite dish to eat and cook). Their sauce has a unique sweetness with what I think is a hint of orange—it’s sweet but not overly so. The caramel cake is another highlight. The caramel tastes homemade, the cake is incredibly moist, and the flavors blend together beautifully. One thing I’ve appreciated every time I’ve ordered through DoorDash is that the food always arrives hot, as if it came straight out of the kitchen and right to my door. I’m thrilled to see this restaurant in the community because Minnesota has long needed more great soul food options. My other go-to spot is Angelea’s Soul Food Kitchen, which is also incredible, but this restaurant is just as amazing—and it’s available on DoorDash! I’m confident you’ll continue to thrive.
