"Wanted to relive my high school days again before the mall officially closes, and the nostalgia did not disappoint at Sarku (apparently now Sakura.) Chicken teriyaki is still super tasty with the same generous portion size and great value at under $12. Chicken teriyaki roll was great as well. "The flavors are delicious. Simple, yet fresh and light. I did get a bento box and I thought it would come with a shrimp tempura, but it doesn't seem to be here. The dumplings are delicious but they don't come with any sauce. they gave me sides of duck sauce and hot sauce, but no soy sauce . The vegetables in the bento box are 85% cabbage, but the cabbage is cooked very well and tastes delicious. I got extra chicken and they in fact gave me a good amount of chicken. The chicken has really good flavor and is not rubbery like it was frozen or cooked incorrectly. it's very tender! I don't like sushi, I asked for an avocado roll, but they didn't meet that concern. I understand not doing substitutions, but I did not partake in the California roll so I cannot review that part of the bento box. i would definitely order again now knowing the expectation."

I don't know if they have new cooks or they're just not as attentive as they used to be but there is zero seasoning here. They rely on the sauces to do all the work all of the sudden. Usually, these are excellent, but sorry to say after having them twice recently, they are highly lacking in seasoning, and lately, they haven't been putting as much salmon in it. Even the Hibachi wasn't seasoned when I went in person. It's a real shame."

"This fry was a little dark. The fillet was a little overcooked and bottom was a little oil- soggy. The 4 or 5 small over-breaded shrimp, and 4 or 5 small over-breaded scallops needed seasoning too. The scallops were nicely moist. The fries had some kind of breading in parts, a bit oily. There were about 7 onion rings from small to large that were good. Disappointed seasoning wasn't better, breading was dull and too much, and it was a little overcooked and oily. All things that can be easily remedied to become delicious!"

"Typically a food critic and most local places dont live up to my central CT supreme taste buds, I've been sorely mistaken. Every item was perfect - the LG Chicken Parm Grinder was moist, flavorful (great sauce that's not too sweet like many around the area) and was a HUGE portion; I'm a big guy can and could've gotten a small. My wife loved her Fried Chicken Sandwich or Wrap, (Wrap) again very moist flavorful and stuffed full. Fries and onion rings we crisp even after a long drive. Pies were delicious, the Peanut Butter Pie did have a slight mocha taste so be warned if that's not your thing. Will absolutely be ordering again. Even in this economy this is a place you can afford to take a chance on."

We tasted a ridiculous amount of salt and nothing else. That salt missed the shrimp (which were seemingly boiled and thrown in the pasta) as they too were flavorless. Also why was there grated parmesan and parm crisp? The churros were decent. We enjoyed the flavor and texture. But the randomly drizzled sauces on top and whatever liquid it was in, we found unnecessary but they would have fared better from being filled in WAY more cinnamon sugar and sauce options on the side, to dip, like the menu description suggests. The Tres leches cake was not good. From the flavor, to the texture, it was our least favorite item. And the cake didn't seem fresh, it seemed like it came from a box. One more thing, ditch all the foil! I feel like I just left a BBQ!"
