"Overall, I get the essence of home... an authentic dish from my titi's house. However, sometimes the pernil is absolutely perfect and other times it's very dry. The only time we get the right amount of rice is if we ask for no salad. I find the salad to be a waste because it's already dressed and arrives soggy. We love salad, just not soggy. I understand the restaurant uses good containers but they are children sized portions for quite a bit of money. I dine at fine restaurants and well appointed restaurants where the dishes are more expensive than their street counterparts, but the portions and the quality of the food command the prices. I would increase my rating to at least a four if mi amigos would consider improving their portions and making sure the pernil is succulent each time. Gracias!!"

"I ordered a large plate of the Oxtails & I received a plate full of bones w/ little to no meat or fat. I felt ripped off. I'm assuming everything fell off & is in the bottom of the pan/pot. Oxtails are cut extremely thin. I'm visiting from Memphis & I never had this issue when ordering oxtails from our Jamician restaurants & the cut is much bigger harty. The Yams are terrible; the worst I've tasted. They are using the can vs cooking w/ fresh potatoes. They added way too much nutmeg; very overpowering. The rice (didn't taste any coconut milk) & peas & mac n cheese were okay. The Collard Greens are sweet, if you like you sugar in them....not my fav, but they were tender. The food was hot & side portions were good; just not the meat"

"Wow! Just wow! This was the best south jersey barbecue I ever had! The pulled pork sliders were made perfectly, with premium meat. Im a flight attendant, and usually, Im only impressed by barbecued food from North Carolina or Tennessee. This place beat both states in the delicious and quality categories. Their collard greens were fresh quality with just the right amount of flavor. In fact, every single item I ordered was over the top delicious! Great potato salad, great green beans, great collard greens and great pulled pork! I will be ordering again! "
