The rice and beans/rice and peas is choice also seasoned and cooked to perfection, the plantain cooked with the correct ripeness, which is a main gripe with a lot of places, but they get it right. At first you would think you spent too much money for the plate however there is a very large amount of food for the price, I believe honestly you're actually served a double portion so the price and value match at least with that particular dish that I am aware of, you aren't paying 24+ for one plate you're paying 24+ but there are definitely two meals in there. I was definitely asked to get this dish again and I will, however I do think I will use the other options available for ordering other than door dash because I'm not sure if the wait times/pickup times are accurate for this restaurant thru the DoorDash portal as I waited an additional 35 minutes after the order was said to be ready for pickup and I don't believe it is the fault of Da Reggae Cafe. They also fill up the portions fully for the cheese dip (which is rare)!!! The chips are crisp and perfect - not stale. They were perfect. The Cheese dip is the best cheese dip ive ever had delivered. It is not runny and not too thick - it's creamy and delicious! I was amazed i didnt have to stir it (as i typically would when having queso & the New! Piñata Caribeña was fabulous. Sweet and refreshing but also gives the comfort food feeling. I tried something new and loved it. I would order it again. The pictures will speak for themselves. The food is so amazing - full of flavor.
