" I have never written a review for any restaurant on DoorDash before, But let my tell you Rib Shack honestly deserves one, and let me tell you why. I am pretty much a creature of habit, so I get the same meal when I decide not to eat homemade lunch. Every time I order out consistently, for over almost the last year, they have always had good service and good food, and they always go above and beyond. For example, today I ordered a catfish meal and a brisket slider. Nowhere in my order did I request a drink, and yet, just for great customer service, they threw in two drinks. Everything is always well prepared and kept warm. The portions are a really, really good size, and it tastes like authentic soul food for a fraction of the price. You would pay the same for a full meal at some of these other places that claim to be the best in town. Lastly, I think the biggest bang for your buck when it comes to Rib Shack is their catering. So, if you’re catering for a work lunch, a family gathering, or some type of church function, you’re going to get tons of food, really well prepared, warm, in nice foil pans, looking fantastic, and it’s going to cost you nowhere near what it would to get it from Famous Dave's or Dickey's or some of those other "fake" barbecue places. But that’s just my opinion, and everyone should definitely give Rib Shack a shot. "

"Tried this place for the first time tonight. The ribs are phenomenal. Id say second best ribs I've ever had and Ive tried many different places. The meat just melts off the bone and there's plently of it on there. The Potato Skins were good but a little too thick cut for my preference. More like a quartered russet potato, I like a little more of the topping vs potato ratio, but otherwise the taste was good. I also got the Fresh Baked Cobbler, and the cherry version. Not my favorite, but again, just personal preference. A little more on the tart side, the cobbler part was a bit lacking in flavor and a bit more chewy than expected. I still give this place 5/5 stars for speed of service and amazing barbecue. "

"If you want bbq in Elkhorn NE you are SOL. All options are straight carbs with no real value, this place centers their meals around their sides (which suck) and the amount of meat provided is sad, for $30 you'll get a sad shrunken half rack of "ribs" sad dry meat with no flavor and no meat on the bones. The McRib from McDonald's has more meat. A brisket order is no more than 1-2 bland fatty pieces of brisket. Expect to feed no more than 2 people for $100 or be starving. Many times I've given this place a chance since it's the only bbq place in Elkhorn - never again. Also The amount of meat in the "3 meat combo" is laughable."
