"I get the wedge salad often via take out or Doordash delivery. This time, I got 2 of them, one for dinner and one for lunch the next day as I love them. I was extremely disappointed with them. One had zero bacon on it, the other 3 or 4 tiny specks of bacon. Very minimal blue cheese, non existent balsamic glaze and just a half filled tiny container of dressing. Essentially, I got 2 orders of lettuce. Food is too expensive to throw away. Do better Outback! The salads are great in Southington. I got these in North Haven. I will not try that location again!

"This is my Hickory Burger from the Wood-n-Tap restaurant, which I ordered at the peak dinner hour of exactly 6:22. I ordered my burger exactly as it is on the menu at the cook temperature of Medium Rare. I do like my burger to be quite pink so I ALWAYS order delivered red meat more rare than I would in a restaurant as the meat will keep cooking in the box & bag on the way to my house-just a tip for food ordering newbies and this goes double for steak orders.
I received my order earlier than expected by about 10 minutes about 37 minutes total time from order to delivery...and it was ABOVE AND BEYOND AMAZING. Considering the 20something degree temperature outside and a 15-20 mile trip from restaurant to my home everything arrived incredibly well.
I ordered 2 of these burgers, 1 for myself and one for my hubby. The frizzled onions were still awesomely crispy, i almostwish I added extra even though im stuffed to capacity cuz they were so awesome. Frizzled onions are something that I find even when I order and eat inside a restaurant can often be a very hard item to nail and they NAILED IT- these were fantastic. The bacon was still crisp, the fries were warm and clearly not fresh from the fryer because they'd obviously been delivered, but they definitely still had a crispness to them. As you can see in the photos (and if you've ever ordered high end takeout or just brought home leftovers before) you probably know that condensation can sometimes be an issue in travel- its the tax you pay to not have to leave your home for incredibly amazing food.
I took a few photos, this way you can see what a delivery of this burger's doneness at medium rare in delivery at my time, temperature and distance looks like, as well as the burger's size which was bigger than my entire hand- I will say my hand is a woman's hand and I wouldn't say I have a large hand at all, but I'd say the burger was pretty darn large. I apologize for having taken my photo of the entire box of food with a bite taken from it, it just smelled and looked so amazingly delicious and I was so hungry that I just had to take a giant bite.
This was my very first time ever ordering from Wood-n-Tap, but I can assure you it will not be my last. This burger was juicy, lean, seasoned amazingly and beefy- exactly what I was craving- a REAL BURGER. This is not some puny paper thin fast food mystery meat grease bomb. If thats what you're craving you know where to go to get it. But with prices these days, with a total plus tip not much more than one of those neon sign fast food joints... I'll take Wood-n-Tap over that other trash ANYDAY! If I could give 20 stars I would!"
"We have ordered numerous times from this restaurant. It nearly always is very good, and responsive with no delays in turnaround time. They missed the mark on my husband's soup tonight , however. He just didn't care for it. Said it was bland and not tasty. He ate only one third of it.
My dish was ok, but no finesse in its prep. I had it at the beginning of summer. It was delicious then so I thought I'd like it again. Really, the best aspect was the tasty and generous portion of black beans. The BBQ sauce was not as I remembered it: thick, sweet, commercial tasting with a bitter finish. The grilled chicken breast cutlets were I am thinking, processed elsewhere: compressed, a bitter finish rubbery and hard to cut. Was Wood n Tap using more commercially processed foods in their dishes? Maybe. There just wasn't that bit of sparkle we've seen and tasted in the past."

"I’m a tad disappointed. I ordered the Tossed Salad. The photo that they show when you click on the tossed salad has a depiction of what looks to be romaine with ham and cheese rolls ups along with a variety of vegetables, so that's what I thought I would be getting for $9.95. Instead I get romaine lettuce with literally 3 tiny strips of bell pepper, 2 cucumber slices, and 3 slices of tomato cut in half. For almost $10 dollars, I would expect at least a few more vegetables thrown in. Very misleading, and the restaurant should edit that photo. I double checked Grubhub to see the pricing, and the tossed salad was listed at $7.35, while their option for a chefs salad is $10.99. I can't help but feel like I was ripped off.
Also ordered a breakfast sandwich and they didn't cut it in half. I know there are a lot of options they give to modify your sandwiches, but cutting the sandwich in half should be a given.
That being said, the food is not terrible, but it's not fantastic either. Probably will not be ordering from again.

"Ordered a little bit of everything and was more than happy with it all! Sushi tasted fresh, egg rolls were fried perfect, chicken and rice soup was fire, wonton soup solidas well but id go the chicken and rice if i had the choice! 11. Beef with Broccoli was great with solid portions and the pork fried rice i got with it was clearly freshly done! Last but not least, the A11. Crab Rangoon might be the best I've ever had! "Pickup order was ready at the promised time. We really enjoyed some of the food items while others were just okay. Was disappointed that two of the eight pieces of sushi in the Sushi Regular entree were shrimp. They were super rubbery in texture and looked old. I also thought that this was pretty cheap of the restaurant to include two of these in the dinner entree. The Black Pepper Tuna Salad was excellent. It contained fresh lettuce and a plentiful portion of peppered tuna. There was no avocado included in the salad (as shown in the picture). The Spicy Maki Combo was also good. The maki rolls were a good size and tasted fresh. The Beef with Broccoli was a large portion, but average in flavor. No one liked the fried rice that came with the beef with broccoli. The Wonton in Szechuan Sauce were not what I was expecting. The wontons were drowning in a thai peanut sauce and only had a small spoonful of szechuan sauce on top. I thought that the wontons would have been coated in a generous helping of szechuan sauce with maybe a drizzle of peanut sauce. This was not the case. The wontons were way too sweet and ended up in the trash. Will consider trying Diner's Haven again at some point in the future."
