"Breakfast Special was fresh and made to order . Didn't have the option to add cheese to grits but i added them once I received .. the condiments i requested was received as well . "Haven't had a taco salad since the late 1980s from sneaky Pete's. Tried one — it was delicious. Huge salad. The photo was misleading though. It showed leafy lettuce, shredded cheese and a fried shell bowl. The lettuce was thin strips iceberg. No edible bowl — chips instead. No noticeable shredded cheese but plenty of nacho cheese. Even though unlike the picture, it was very tasty/satisfying. Actually had not changed a bit in 33 years. Good value."

"McAlister's is typically a solid consistent choice. So after getting burned on trying a few new places while out of town I needed to get the family something I knew they'd like. Club and spud were on point as usual, but the broc and cheese soup was extremely watery compared to what we typically get. That was a bummer when it's your main course and like $9 a bowl."
