Scallion pancake tasted very bitter. I ordered this before, and the bitterness is consistent. I don't know why. I don't think I will order this appetizer again. I would rate this order a 3.5 star. Your rest. is still quite consistent with your quality. Regardless, nothing stops you from getting better, right? Lastly, I noticed your restaurant took away the option for making special requests. Many of them are redundant or poorly worded, and some aren't even intelligible. There's items on the menu I've been curious about but haven't tried because the descriptions are so unclear. Door Dash choosing to implement AI item descriptions without review is a good way to get someone hurt if they have an allergy. "We have been fans of Sunflower for a long time! They recently switched ownership and the food has changed a bit. The chicken dishes (both Salt and Pepper Chicken and Orange Chicken) have a new breading with a strange flavor. We found the breading to take up about half of each piece of chicken which was disappointing. Sandy's (prev owner) Potstickers (6) recipe are no more - the meat in these are different, and the special sauce to go with them is no longer offered. They are no longer evenly fried. Likely just changes we'd see with any owner - but if you were a patron before, just know the dishes are not the same. We hope the new owner works through these growing pains and maybe brings back some of Sandy's best dishes. "
