" I used to be loyal to another Puerto Rican food restaurant (Sabor) but I am noticing a decline in my satisfaction lately after patronizing them for years. Their portion sizes have been reduced considerably while their prices have gone up, so I have been searching for a replacement and boy am I glad I did! Finding the Restaurant Latino on 8th St. is like finding a chest full of treasures. I placed an order last night for the stewed chicken dinner with yellow rice, beans, macaroni salad, potato salad, sweet plantains and an empanada. Everything was SUPERB and so delicious and absolutely better than my former favorite place in every way, including portion sizes, prices and hours available for ordering! The sweet plantains were so tender but not mushy and with a perfect touch of sweetness. The stewed chicken was tender and fell off the bones while not being dry and stringy. The rice was seasoned perfectly and nice and moist. Your beans are seasoned to perfection and I love the small potatoes that soak up the seasoning. The empanada had just the right amount of crispness and filling and without an oily or greasy taste. Even the potato salad was made the way I like it. The only thing I didn't care for was the macaroni salad, but only because it was made with tuna which I didn't care for. Without the tuna I would have loved it!
So please owner of Restaurant Latina, DON'T EVER CHANGE A THING! Your recipes, your entree selections, your sides, your portion sizes and prices, the accuracy and care taken with filling my order, your days open and working hours etc. You are now my favorite and in my opinion the absolute best Latin American Restaurant that Lebanon has to offer!
