"I really enjoyed the GYROS CHICAGO STYLE from here. Meat wasn't greasy or dripping. Portion size was good too! The pita was good. I appreciate them using red onions instead of white onions. Tomatoes were fresh too. Feta and tzatziki was good quality and very good. "

"It's sad to give this restaurant such a low rating as we have eaten so many times over the years, I even proposed to my wife after dinner here. But when you order a Baked Chicken which is advertised as a half chicken, you expect at least half a chicken. The chicken was missing the wing and the leg and appeared to have been processed down to having no bones as well, this definitely hurt the flavor the predominant flavor was salt BTW. My wife order the Seafood Medley which is advertised as being made with balsamic and onion, instead it came with a tomato and caper sauce which while not bad, was not what was ordered. Additionally, the shrimp were severely overcooked and the calamari was as well. Credit where it is due tho, the octopus was still perfectly cooked. Again we love this restaurant and plan to continue ordering, at least for the time being. We can only hope whatever corner cutting is happening due to the economic issues will subside. The food has always been excellent, not today"

I loved the potato salad especially. For the chicken, I ordered the chicken with Cajun Peri sauce. It was so juicy and tender. In hindsight, a little too spicy for me, but it was still delicious! Will definitely order more and buy the chicken with a less spicy sauce! "

"I’ve ordered from Port of Peri Peri (Buffalo Grove location) multiple times before, but unfortunately, this will be my last. Over time, I’ve noticed a steady decline in quality while prices keep increasing. Today’s order was the final straw. I ordered a whole chicken with peri rice (large upgrade) and five extra sauces. The chicken was extremely dry, as if it hadn’t thawed properly before cooking. Instead of the large rice portion I paid for, they gave me a small, which is just careless. The extra sauces were another disappointment—while I understand they won’t be filled to the brim for transport, these were barely half full, yet they charge $1 per sauce. Out of the five I ordered, only two were decently filled—a complete ripoff. My family used to love takeout from here, but the quality has dropped too much to justify the price anymore. I genuinely believe it’s this Buffalo Grove location cutting corners because the Schaumburg location has maintained its standards. Save your money and go elsewhere—this location is not worth it anymore."

"The Fettucini Alfredo is the best item on the menu. The Slow Cooked Beef and Pork Bolognese Pappardelle came in second but needed more sauce. The Garganelli with Vodka Sauce was polarizing - it was too al dente and very spicy which was quite a shock. The Bucatini Pomodoro was too nutty flavored. Most of the pasta has a nutmeg type aftertaste which was weird. I'd get the Alfredo again for sure, maybe the Bolognese and Vodka, but definitely not the Pomodoro."
