I used to order eggplant parm here, as it's my go-to from every Italian restaurant, but Bensi is so stingy with the cheese that I stopped ordering it. The sauce is good. The eggplant is good. The rigatoni was cooked perfectly al dente, with just the right texture and bite. The sauce was rich, hearty, deeply flavorful, and clearly prepared with care, patience, and high-quality ingredients. Every forkful delivered the kind of comforting, authentic Italian flavor that is becoming increasingly difficult to find.
What impressed me most was the attention to detail throughout the meal. Nothing felt rushed or ordinary. Every dish reflected pride, passion, and craftsmanship.
