The seasoning on the outside of the hush puppies has a slightly smokey, minimal heat to it that is familiar and yet exciting. The doughy interior doesn't glom around and stick to your teeth like some I've had, nor are they dry and crumbly like others. They are perfectly in the middle with a crunchy exterior. The sauce is the same as the one that came with the pickles and it is incredibly versatile! I love how well it paired with both items individually. Almost bringing the two things together in harmony!
