The dosa tasted like how stale cereal tastes after being open for a month in a cardboard box with the flavor lingering after swallowing. The masala dosa mix was good but Hello India is nearby and so much better with a richer flavor. The idli didn't taste fermented and had no sour or yogurt flavor; they were very bland. The sambar was Earthy and good but missing some of the sour flavor and was too salty. The Chettinand Kuzhambu fragrant and earthy but needs a decent of amount of rice to balance the salt.
Overall not bad. Some hits, some misses, some in betweens. Their lunch thali combo is probably worth going back but maybe order somewhere else because there are other great options in the area that are more consistent with their menu.
Kuppanna's Thiru Kuppusamy Unavagam and Hello India would be my choice over this. I would get Southern Spice butter curries, chat, and samosa again. Those were well made."

Perhaps it was cooked in the Tandoor before being put into the Masala. Except for the charing, it tasted pretty good, but there was not a lot of spice or finesse to it. The rice was well cooked, but it also was kind of bland. The Chicken Samosa order came with 4 small samosas. These tasted pretty good, but there was not much to them - very thin. The green sauce they sent with samosas was also very thin- like colored water without any real substance except a few chunks of herbs.
One thing I really like is that they use Butter or Ghee in the Chicken Tikka Masala! This is a huge plus because so many other places are using cheap seed oils which are very inflammatory.
Overall, it was OK. There are some other places that have a lot more flavor in their Indian food, but perhaps the healthy fats used here are enough of a win to get more business."
