"Moved here from Chicago a year ago. Have tried every "best burger" in town.. including Stella's and blue dog.. along with a few other really tasty options. But THIS burger.. is by far the best burger I've had. Period. Their original dbl smash burger and Cosmik fries BEAT OUT ALL OTHER OPTIONS. Their burgers are made perfectly, seasoned perfectly, the toppings are a match in heaven, all while staying on the burger. The bread isn't soggy or over toasted.. it's literally the best burger I've ever had. Reviews are so personal and some may totally prefer the thick over seasoned hockey puck from Stella's... but Hopcat just did it right. It's a "basic" burger made into total gourmet perfection. This is from a non MI native, completely unbiased. I think we need more reviews like this. Not just based on popularity. As someone who isn't from here.. i can care less who's been around the longest. I want DELICIOUS LOCAL FOOD. I assure you, you won't regret this decision. OH and the WINGS ARE FIREEE! You just can't go wrong. "
"Stellar Brownie is definitely not cooked all the way and got literally a half of a scoop of ice cream with it...for almost $9 I'm sorry but that's ridiculous. Steak Frites are dry and don't have a lot of flavor. This is the 4th time I've gotten them and I've been chasing the high of the 1st time ever since because they were so good that one time. Also not enough fries with them in my opinion. Hopcat used to be one of my favorite restaurants in GR idk what happened but it's gone downhill"

"I have finally found the best Mexican food in town. This rivals the Mexican food I used to get in Los Angeles in the 90s! Wow... so good. Loved that they included a serving of peppers and onions and a big handful of lime and red onion. Also 3 salsas, including super hot, medium and green. Guacamole was super fresh and full of all the right stuff (cilantro and lime for starters). I wasn't expecting the tostadas to be so enormous... but so good... crisp lettuce, tomato and great flavor.
