"This is the 5th Indian restaurant we've tried in York, and it seems we were saving the best for last!! I've been trying to find a Butter Chicken with a true creamy butter red gravy and this one delivers. The other restaurants in York make a thick chunky brown variation that is just not what I like. Lamb Kadai was "fire" and very flavorful according to my husband. I love that they offer a kids menu, my son really liked the shrimp Kids Hakka Noodles. As a person who frequently doordashes, I really appreciated how they packaged the meal with care. Everything was labeled, and saucy ones individually wrapped with saran wrap to prevent leaks. We will be ordering again soon!"
"This is the best Indian restaurant around. I've been a fan of Indian food for a long time. We have tried all the other Indian restaurants. I ordered three times and tried various menu items to get a fair sample before writing this. My roommate would not even order from the other places. Here, no complaints.
The prices are good. The portion sizes are enough that I usually eat half and save the other half for the next day. This is one of those restaurants that you tell your friends about. We will definitely order again!"

"Tandoori Chicken usually comes as a whole chicken that's why it usually is ordered as a whole platter to share on its own. But this only came w/ 2 drums & 2 small other boned chunks that I would assume were half of a thigh. That was disappointing to see that it's like a lunch serving & my order didn't even come with rice. The Chicken Tikka was dry & the Gulab Jamun tasted soapy & only came w/ 4 pcs instead of the usual 6 pcs. The taste of both the chicken dishes was decent. But I will NOT order from here again."

"Hamir's is, by far, the best Indian restaurant in York. And, in my experience, the best in the entire area. I'm not a huge fan of spicy food, so I always ask for a spice level of zero. But my kids and husband love the heat! We can all agree that Hamir's is one of our favorite restaurants in York!
I love the Papdi Chat and Crab Puri as appetizers. So flavorful! And my kids always enjoy the fries.
As a main course, their Coconut Curry Paneer is the best curry, in my opinion. But my family enjoys the Butter Chicken and Tikka Masala. I highly recommend Hamir's for excellent Indian food!"
"The food was terrible. The Creamy Butter Sauce was curdled and separated. The Tandoori Chicken was dry, overcooked, and woody. The Gulab Jamun With Ice Cream were two miniscule balls for $10. This place has really gone downhill. The only semi-decent food was the Samosas , but even those aren't as good as they used to be."
