"We ordered the Pupusas from Guisado Express, and unfortunately, they did not meet my expectations. My Salvadoran girlfriend was disappointed with the incorrect cheese used, which made the Pupusas not traditional. The curtido was also way too spicy for her liking, and traditionally, it is mild. The salsa verde was also way too spicy, and there was way too little meat for the price. The Pupusas had more tortilla than anything else, and it tasted more like an Arepa than a Pupusa. I agree with everything she says because she has taken me to eat legitimate Pupusas in the past. Overall, I was disappointed with the lack of authenticity and would not recommend this dish to anyone looking for a truly Salvadoran experience."

I expected for the quality the pork belly in the photo on their menu to match that with the taco meat and be soft and tender. It was overdone here. I did order at the end of the night, but it still doesn't really excuse tough meat. I got 4 decent sized shrimp with the tails on and they followed my request to keep the polenta and shrimp and sauce separate.
