"I order from here as my go to comfort food when it's needed. Everything on the menu looks just as good in person and tastes amazing, if you think you'll like a dish I guarantee you will love it. Some of the best Sesame Ball with Anko (3 Pc) I've ever had anywhere, and their Shanghai Charred Scallion Noodle are as good as the ones my sister makes in her wok here at home. I'd complement the pork bao as well but they're really hard to mess up and the ceiling for making good ones is so low anyways, but they're still delicious as always. Don't be afraid to try new things if you've never had dim sum as well, I promise you'll be pleasantly surprised by how delicious those dishes can be"

"I forgot how cheap these guys were last time, and I forgot that I wouldn't order from them again (old age dammit)! lol! -Mongolian Beef looks as good as it tastes, though it's missing all the onions etc. (still, meat is great and the sauce is decent . -I did NOT receive my Pea Shoot Dumplings with Prawns (3 Pc), I received something with a lot of bitter spinach or chard (I know my pea shoots people!!). -The rice was half filled and was just 'ok.' -The Steamed Custard Buns (3 Pc) are missing most of the custard lol. I have to take the blame. I should have remember that STEAM's quality has gone far down below their usual level of food. --They gave me a little packet of mediocre sriracha hot sauce (nasty), instead of their amazing red chili oil. -They did provide a slim packet of soy sauce, I don't mind because I didn't ask for it. "I apparently am not a fan of dumplings. i tried the XLB Combo, was not able to eat it all. the dumplings did have juices inside which was something new to me. Why I couldn't finish it was due to the unique flaover of each one. As I have had dumplings and Kimchi where there was no juices inside. Sesame Balls were good, but came covered with oil. and were quite filling. I also tried their Edamame; it came well seasoned. If you cannot handle spicy things I would stay away. Edamame also was covered/cooked in oil which made it a bit messy."

"Broccoli Beef 西兰花牛肉 was ON POINT. Ive had a hard time finding a good place that does this dish well since Su Hong left, and I am VERY happy. Will definitely be "favoriting" this restaurant. The potstickers were pretty damn good too. Only dish that I felt couldve used more seasoning for me was the Chicken Chow Mein 鸡肉炒面. But this spot still deserves all 5 stars."

Wontons were good but the broth was a dark brown and tasted like chinese medicinal soups. Onion Burst Beef 葱爆牛肉 was good! Walnut Shrimp 核桃虾 had a delicious light batter but there were only 12 shrimp. "I was so pleasantly surprised by this place. The dim sum is authentic and delicious. Crab Roe Shiu Mai was perfect, no notes. Shrimp Dumpling (Har Gow) skin was slightly thicker/less delicate than it should be, but still tasty. Black Pepper Beef Bun was not as good as what I've had in Taipei's night market, mainly due to the bun, but tbh the flavor of the filling was pretty on point. Same with the Steamed Egg Yolk Lava Bun -- execution was not quite there, the buns could be lighter and fluffier, the filling was slightly separated (instead of oozing, it partly crumbled, partly leaked), but flavor was good. I suspect the buns were frozen and reheated. I ordered the Deluxe Steamed Sticky Rice Wrap because I saw other reviews raving about it, and it was really very good. Lots of goodies inside, seasoned wonderfully. I think it gave me heartburn though, but that's probably just a me-problem. I really liked the containers they came in. Really enjoyed the meal overall, would 100% order again."

"I've ordered takeout from here twice now. Both times the portions have been really big and great value for money. The food has also been packaged well so that it doesn't leak or spill. The Secret Lamb Wok had a nice numbing spice to it. The 2.食尚浓汤锅 Fashion Wok is mild with a slightly salty bone broth, it is great if you have a cold. The hot pots come with sauces and a variety of toppings, every bite is tasty and different. I also got the 小碗西红柿鸡蛋 Tomato stir fry eggs which have a comforting taste that is good with rice. I really recommend this place for take out and hope to try more dishes."

"The beef and vegetables were good, just like the usual Chef Chu quality. The tea smoked duck was disappointing though. The skin was soggy and very dry at the same time, with bitter dried edges that made it taste like it wasn’t fresh and had been reheated. Also, Chef Chu doesn’t participate in DashPass. I didn’t realize this and ended up paying around $6 for delivery and over $10 in fees. After tax and tip, about one-third of my $55 order went to extra charges. DoorDash should make it clearer when a restaurant isn’t part of DashPass so members don’t get caught by surprise."
