"Being from the Philly area and having made thousands of proper cheesesteaks as a line cook in my youth, I can confidently say that The Cheese Steak Shop consistently makes excellent, proper cheesesteaks. This has been the only restaurant I've found utside of where I was raised that does legit steak sandwich. Love it "

"Classic Philly is outstanding, super cheesy and delicious, I get a mix of both sweet and hot peppers, the hot ones are definitely hot so if you don't like spicy I would get them on the side or not at all. Tried their onion rings for the first time and they were really crunchy and the batter was great. Overall love this place, never disappoints "

"Amazing sandwiches!! As close to east coast style grinders Ive been able to find so far in Marin. Wonderfully soft Italian roll, fresh meats & cheese. Only downside, EXTREMELY expensive, esp if you put extra meat, & veggies on. You need the extra meat, as the sandwich itself is a little bit thin otherwise. Traditional grinders (subs, hoagies) overflow with meats & veggies. Paid $31 for El Padrino (with extra meat, & veggies.) They do charge for ALL extras, be it lettuce, onions, tomatoes, peppers. Paid $21 for Roast Beef. It's definitely a splurge, but boy was it DELICIOUS!! It seriously hit the spot!!! Just wish more affordable. Otherwise, A++, HIGHLY recommend!!!"

"I'm hooked. The absolut BEST deli I've found in Marin, hands down. The soft Italian roll is FRESH, sweet, brioche-ish in flavor. I like to just make my own sandwiches (I worked in a deli during my youth), so I already have "sandwich" ideas. The romain lettuce is fresh, crispy, tomatoes ripe and large. The key to a GREAT sandwich (and deli, for that matter): fresh bread, fresh & ripe produce, high quality meats (if roasted there, even better.) I'll happily pay more money for PREMIUM ingredients, there's just no comparing to anything else."

"The BEST grilled Salmon I have ever had! (And I have tried them all! ) Huge piece, Fresh, perfectly cooked, mashed potatoes that taste homemade, vegetables on the side. The packaging is also above and beyond. If you go there in person get the Bruchetta, I think best in Marin! Everything I have ordered from here is excellent!"

"It's apparent a lot of care was put into the packaging and overall experience with the delivery, it's much appreciated. everything came warm and even hot, but they didn't overly steam either. Thanks to my delivery driver as well who clearly kept it secured somehow. The Spaghetti Carbonara was very tasty, generous helping of pancetta and onions in there. We split that and the Club Special salad, more than enough food for 2 without feeling like too much as if it's a diner. The Rustic Pot Roast came very well displayed and another hungry person enjoyed it a lot. Hell even the included bread and butter made me feel like I was at the restaurant, being treated like a valued customer. Nice work"
