"If I could surm this dish in one word itd, be nostalgic. Growing up in a Bengali household, Rice and fish bhuna with veggies + daal was a staple. The fish was carp, which while a bit of a shock was still nostalgic. As for the daal and the veggies, that was quite remin of my mom's own cooking. "My meal was fine. Honestly, there's that one Indian place in town that is head and shoulders above the rest. This isn't that, but it could be in the second tier.
The Chicken Tikka Masala (HALAL) had a great flavor but the chicken chunks were large and sorta dry. I ordered medium on the spice scale and think I would go up to spicy next time. The rice was great-perfect texture.
The Mango Lassi was comically small for $5-- if you're craving mango lassi order yourself two. It was pretty good though.
The Garlic Butter Naan was dry/crunchy, which I like but is not the norm.
The Roti / Chapathi seemed undercooked- reminded me of one of those par cooked tortillas that you finish off in the skillet.
Overall the portion size was smaller than other Indian takeout - don't expect to have leftovers. All in all I would eat here again due to the location being convenient."

"Malai Kofta is my go to dish here and I'm not even a vegetarian. It's just that delicious. The dumplings are tender and tasty but the sauce is what's up. I could eat a shoe with this sauce! It's creamy and just right for spicy and with rice it is a perfect dish imo.
I also tried the Thatte Idli. I have had idli from another place and fell in love with the texture. They are light and fluffy and total sponges for the sambar, ghee, and or chutney. That was new to me but basically, they were large, about 4to 6 inches in diameter, and I'm sure completely puffed up right out of the frier but were flat by the time they arrived.
